This property offers scenic views of the castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein, both within a 5-minute drive of the hotel. Das Schwanstein also features a garden and a terrace. Rooms at Das Schwanstein are bright and classically decorated. They each include satellite TV and a private bathroom with a bath and shower. There are a number of bars and restaurants serving both traditional and international cuisine within a 5-minute drive of the accommodations. Skiing and hiking are popular activities in the area, and the Tegelberg toboggan run is just 1.2 mi away. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Königliche Kristall Thermal Baths and it is 5 minutes on foot to the spa gardens. There is free public parking at Das Schwanstein, and it is a 10-minute drive from the A7 motorway.

- The dark-haired man at the breakfast buffet was the most attentive, pleasant and helpful person I¿ve ever experienced in my world-wide travels. He didn¿t hover at all but was nearby and so kind whenever I had a question. The lady at check-in was sweet.
- Good hotel in an excellent location. There is WiFi access now. My room and bathroom were clean and the breakfast was good, I have no complaints.
- The room was modern and nicely decorated, good location.
Cons -
- The price was a surprise. It was advertised for ~89 but we were charged ~123 plus breakfast for 3. Not a big deal, but we travel a lot and share our experiences widely with our international community. So that¿s something to be careful about.
- I did not like the location of our rooms we were on the bottom floor with windows to their parking lot,which was too loud and the some of the workers were smoking near our windows.The staff was not very courteous and took awhile for service,not welcoming.
- No air conditioner
