Pros +
- The facility was clean and good, the hotel is cozy
- The beds were comfortable and the room was generally clean.
- Nice building
Cons -
- The light on the hallway was not working and it was very dark
- Never saw a member of staff the whole time we were there and no contact numbers left in case of any issues/problems. No indication of where was appropriate to park the car. There was a car park next door with lots of no parking signs near the building, so a complete guess if it was ok or not. The worst bit was no hot water in the evening (even for washing hands) and after my wife had a cold shower ninth morning, it suddenly sprang into almost boiling at 7am on the dot. I got the impression the supply had been turned off and was turned on in the morning at 7 such was the immediate difference in temperature. Not the best location to find food in the evening either. No breakfast / evening meals offered, but were guided towards the bakery next door for breakfast (which we didn't try out). Glad it was only for one night and we'd probably go somewhere else as an alternative in the future.
- No staff on premises during duration of stay (no staff for checkin, check out so if there had been a medical emergency / accident / safety/ security / fire evacuation / lift breakdown then we would have to find our own way out and ring the emergency services ourselves, as a guest this felt really unsafe.Advertised with a restaurant open on that day, but not open so had to go out and find alternative meals after a late arrivalInformed an hour before we got on the ferry from England that the staff would not be present in an email in German language that we couldnt translate on the move which was too late to cancel as we'd already paid. We then had to translate via Google translate on arrival to work out how to access our room via a key box on the wall and access code (Previous correspondence in the run up had been in English) The message said they would be unavailable Monday so we assumed back in the premises on Tuesday. By the time we left on Tuesday they still hadn't turned up.Areas of the hotel were also in darkness for the duration

Room with lift availability. Excellent restaurant with menu for all tastes.Easy parking
Breakfast exactly as i wanted it.
Missing dinner menu in english but we solved it with Google translator.
Very convenient end nice place to stay
We arrived around 19h30 on Sunday evening, and were told that the kitchen of the rstaurant was already closed. No other place to have convenient dinner closeby.
A traditional German hotel. The evening meal was a delight and I would recommend the steak as it was the best I have had for a long time. The staff were helpful and catered for my wife as she is gluten and lactose intolerant. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. A small hamlet so only found one other bar.
Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff
It was very warm in our room and noisy (street and thin walls between rooms)
Location was nice.Lots of space for parking.Spacious and clean rooms.
Staff not very welcoming.Room and building was a bit outdated and not well maintained.Restaurant was closed on a Friday evening, no notion received.Very dark outside, entrance looked closed. Also for breakfast.Payment for an additional crappy folding bed, which should have been there according to the description. No bed for the 4th person, because a 4 year old can sleep with his parents.
family room is spacious enough for our family of 5 people :) staff is friendly and nice
The restaurant was great and parking was abundant.
Due to its proximity to the road traffic was loud. I’m sure that wouldn’t be an issue in winter when windows don’t need to be open.
We have stayed here before and it didn’t disappoint. Rooms are large and comfortable and the balcony was a bonus this time.
Due to a town fete going on no breakfast was available, which was a disappointment as last time it was really good.
Beds were better than average, firm and comfy. Breakfast was fine.
very convenient location
Bit forbidding and dark but it was perfectly functional and the staff looked after me well
Ideal placement for where I needed to be. Overlooking the river. Good location. All good, staff very pleasant and spoke English.
Staff was wonderful, warm and welcoming. The room was spacious, very clean and welcoming. Loved at dinning table with the glasses and water. Plenty of windows. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. Great dining options and the food was fabulous and reasonably priced with large portions. For dinner we sat outside in the fresh air instead of having our dinner inside. We were on the second floor but there was an elevator, which was nice for bringing luggage up and down. Plenty of free parking adjacent to the property. A bakery/cafe right next door that was open on Sundays and also a butcher adjacent to the property.
Room does not have AC. Fortunately it was cool enough that opening the windows and using the fan that was in the room was sufficient to keep it nice and cool throughout the night.
Fine hotel for a stop over.
Rooms are quite dated.
Convenient for an overnight stop on our way home from Italy.
Nothing in particular.
Restaurant food fantastic
Staff very friendly
Bit noisy due to traffic passing by
