Had a junior suite . Horrible . To go to the bathroom you had to go down steps . To shower step down in the tub . For elderly people like us horrible . No more

The Building and facilities. Outstanding Spa and the food in the restaurant was great. Really good as my daughter is Celiac and she enjoed good food for launch and dinner.

Improvement on the quality and overall selection of the breakfast. for me it fail short of the expectations in particular with the hot food.

Dark room, hardly daylight and it was laying in a city center; there was nothing to do and no atmosphere

It was a delightful old castle with lots of period features and a lovely spa

I liked Luis the restaurant manager. Amazing guy. Everyone else was super nice. The hotel is more of a destination than part of a greater visit.

Not much to do in Mengibar but the hotel is amazing. Facility could be a bit noisy from the stone but it didn’t help that while we were there, there was a wedding with many young guests.

I liked the public areas

I found the room not comfortable. Cold floor’s, looking at a blank wall, no long mirror, bed uncomfortable, noisy next to lift, needs more soft furnishings.

I booked with booking. Com and didn’t realise breakfast was available.

Pillows uncomfortable and towels small.

History, architecture, Iliturium remnants. Marvellous restaurant with helpful, informative waiters.

No shower, unusable bath for older folks. No tissues FFS.

Absolutely a gem of a hotel. Beautifully designed and tastefully modernised. We were able to park at no cost in their open car park in front. Beds were comfortable. We ate one time in their restaurant and found it good value for money.

There was a local issue which the hotel didn't appear to recognise. Until the early hours of the morning, there was an annoying low-level noise of music coming from somewhere (a deep, rhythmic, techno-style sound) - which kept me awake for several hours. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

Location, easy to get access

Had to buy toilet paper towels, coffee salt oil. Conditioner.

We stayed in a room in the original building. Loved the marble bath and avian taps. Wish we’d been more aware of the spa situated in the hotel. The restaurant was atmospheric and excellent. All the staff were courteous and friendly.

It's a beautiful hotel which has an old world charm yet has thoroughly modern facilities. The courtyard areas are peaceful shaded havens which I appreciated and the room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were polite and attentive.I would definitely return if the opportunity occurs.

Superb building at the top of historic Mengíbar. Beautifully presented, on the edge of a characterful piazza overlooking fab old church. The building retains so much of the original character with nods to modern demands.
