Hotel Rural El Castillejo - A 15 min de Ronda

Room is very clean, price is fair for a simple room.

Their policy to collect a 100 euro deposit/online check in is a bit exaggerated for such a simple establishment, and they call you early in the morning until you pay, and that's all the communication you're going to have as there's no one in reception.

good location close to Ronda and Setenill a quiet town

the doors ware quite noisy. it is very annoying if people are getting up early in the morning.

The place is quiet, surrounded by nature, near Ronda and Setenil. The room is clean and spacious.

The room and bathroom room were spacious and comfortable, great bed, great shower.

No negatives

It was extra clean and the beds were super comfortable - better than at home!

The airco/heating was really noisy and we hear the neighbours behind the wall.

Excellent choice, both for positioning and services. The guesthouse is classified as 2* but offers 3* comfort. It allows access to the shared kitchen, equipped with a stove, refrigerator, cutlery and dining area.If you plan to visit Ronda, Setenil de Las Bodegas and Caminito del Rey, the location is perfect; what's more, effortlessly find free parking space.The room is not spacious but not very small either. Instead the mattress and bed linen were impeccable.

As a minus we point to the lack of a clothes hanger in the room and bathroom, but this seems to be the model in Andalusia. Overall, price/quality, the score we give is +9.5.

The location. Situated near the local watering hole (literally) at the edge of a quaint Pueblo Blanco, with several traditional tavernas within walking distance, and major tourist attractions like Ronda, el Caminito Del Rey and Parque Torcal within 30-45 minutes' drive. The hotel itself. It boasts a sign with 2 stars on the facade, but it has since earned a 3rd star and we believe that's well deserved. The hotel and room is clean and tidy, quiet and relaxed. The facilities in the room all work well and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has an indoor parking garage that we could make use of throughout our stay, free of charge. Downstairs there is a communal area that guests can make use of during the day/evening. With views on the surrounding mountains and countryside.

The only tiny point of feedback we can think of... the person checking us in didn't speak English. However, she was very polite and patient with us and made sure we found our way around. The hotel provides written information in English (and some other languages) to bridge the language gap.

Nice quiet hotel on outskirts of town within easy walking distance of shops and cafés. Helpful, friendly staff and underground vehicle parking.Beds were very comfortable.

Not a big deal, but if it was windy the window shutters rattled quite a bit.....may disturb a light sleeper?[

It felt super cosy, like being home. There’s not many facilities as they do not have a restaurant on site but they have a nice common room with a big sofa where you can chill and some vending machines if you want to get some snacks.

Nothing all good

The place is basic but it is a good value for the money. The location is a small and quiet town, so if you arrive late everything will be closed.. the hotel does not have a restaurant but it has some vending machines with snacks and coffee (coins only). You can also use a common kitchen. The place is clean and has parking in the basement. You can also park in the streets outside as it is not a crowded area. .

The hotel is in a very nice, small, quiet village. We felt very safe. Enough space for parking. We used the common kitchen and dining room. There were three of us. We got 2 rooms next to each other. Everything was very clean. Caminito del Rey is a good half hour drive from here.

It would be good to have a water heater in the kitchen. The shower cabin is not very big.

Great location for trips to Ronda, Caminito del Rey and Sentinel. Nice town where there is a hotel. No problem with parking. The hotel has everything you need.

The kitchen could be better.

Wonderful place in the middle of nature, the views through the window were breathtaking.

The only problem was the shower, where hot water took approximately 5min of running cold water to appear, and then lasted for 10min. It was mentioned that you have to wait, but didn't imagine waisting so much water for 10min warm shower.

The place was great value for money. It was off season and the staff came to let us in upon our arrival. The location is great to shorten a long leg on the GR7. The staff had good recommendations on which restaurant to eat at (and which was actually open).

At 4:30 in the night someone started to move around tables and chairs in the dining room which sounded noisily through the halls. That was slightly weird. We think it might have been staff tidying up but could have been a guest. Anyhow, got up and asked whether this could be done later :D but besides that all good!

The location of the hotel is good, close to Ronda. Room was nice and clean. Communication with the owner was smooth. We really enjoyed walking in little town and having delicious breakfast and dinner in local bars.

Very clean and comfortable place, bed was very comfortable, we used the kitchen and fridge to do our own breakfast. Parking in front of the hotel and just 20 min drive to Ronda and Setenil. Quiet and Perfect place to stay ?

The room was nice and comfortable.

The host was nice but didn’t speak a word of English.

The location was great an easy walk into the town. Felt very safe and the local restaurant El Niño Agripino was great. A short car trip to historic Ronda. The staff were helpful. car parking was good.

The aircon wasn’t working effectively. The sound proofing between rooms was non existent. One night there was a lot of road noise. wifi was basically non existent over two days
