    • Hotel employee!
    • The place is really unique. Very welcoming hosts and great staff . Easy parking . Very good restaurant. The only thing that a bit ruined our stay is that it was freezing cold inside the apartment. ( i guess around 10 degrees) We stayed in early October and we were told they still not allowed to turn on the heating . No AC also .. so we ended up sleeping with our sweaters under 2 blankets. Probably in summer this place is perfect and maybe in winter when the heating is on .
    • everything. it is an old castle and the rooms are like mini apartments. I recommend eating at their restaurant.

    Cons -

    • cell phone coverage was poor. Wi-Fi was slow.
    • Mosquitoes
    • The WiFi was not working properly all 3 days.. also cellular (Vodafone) is not working in that area.. The breakfast was more or less coffe + croissant.. But we could cook in the room The owner proposed us towels for pool, but then charged 5€ per towel .. I never paid for towels until now.

So authentic! Charming! You feel in an other time in history. The owner, a contessa knows how to welcome and take care of you with great elegance et also discreet. You feel at home at the same time. Perfect with my family, husband and me and our 3 kids 9, 7 and 2.

It’s a lovely and beautiful place. The hosts are very friendly and the food is just amazing. Pool area is in the shade and the water refreshing. Nice little cafe in the village for a coffee and playing cards.

Me and my family spent 2 nights here and we absolutely enjoyed everything. The host is a very nice lady who showed us aroud the property and the castle. She also told us about the history of the castle. The experience felt very personal as the place was not touristy at all. This is a great place to go if you want to spend time in a quiet environment.

Everything was so amazing. From when we booked in with the Owner, think her name is Cecilia. Wow what a women. Showed and explained everything to us. The history of the Castle and everything that was show to us, was just unbelievable to described to anyone, you have to visit is and stay over. The dinner in the garden was absolutely fantastic with the stables that was changed into a restaurant. Breakfast was excellent. To end our holiday in such a high note was a bonus. Thanks for the lovely stay.

we loved the charming apartment we stayed in with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. Cecilia the owner was amazing and so helpful nothing was too much trouble she showed us through her residence & the castle tower, the property had been in her family since 16th century. the restaurant they run had lovely food. it was a very small village but other towns close by.

the pool is a bit of a walk but very pleasant.

    10JudyPosted on: 8-26-2022

Cecilia our hostess is amazing! She went out of her way to help us with info about her property and the surrounding area. She is a gem. Proceno a gorgeous village. Paula was also a great person to deal with and was very patient with our requests. Would highly recommend Castello di Proceno as a place to stay.

Bed could have been more comfy. Loved our view from balcony though.

    10IvonaPosted on: 8-27-2021

Proceno is awesome for its quiet atmosphere and its ‘genius loci’..The owners of the accommodation are from family owning the place for very very long time. They turned their homes into the wonderful apartments showing genuine local architecture and art. Apartment was very spacious, clean. A great swimming pool is at hand and very useful on very hot summer days, especially with small children. Breakfast is very nice too. There is nothing bad about this accommodation and we loved it so much that we can’t stop thinking about going back soon.

    10UnknownPosted on: 8-15-2021

We stayed in the apartment with a mezzanine which had a beautiful fireplace. Very well kitted out, clean and all the staff were lovely and very friendly.

We couldn’t find a coffee machine in our apartment which is very unusual in Italy! Not a criticism just an observation.
