Pros +

  • Very clean. Nice restaurant on site. Very quiet
  • Friendly staff. Well located. Nice stop over.
  • This is a great place to use as a stopover after a day travelling up from the south. The restaurant was busy and the menu featured some interesting local dishes. The room was comfortable and quiet at night.

Cons -

  • Had an evening meal. Prep could be better. Pizzas looked good. Not much choice in the town anyway.
  • The restaurant was busy so be prepared for a slight wait,
  • The hotel rooms, as opposed to the restaurant, seem to have essentially been abandoned. The room was almost entirely bare and without any attempt to create a nice atmosphere. The lock of the door didn't function well, and amenities were minimal. It seems like all the effort and money has gone into the attached restaurant. Even the receptionist was so busy in the restaurant at one point, she didn't respond to repeated rings to come to the front desk. Definitely over-priced for what you got.

The restaurant was good, where we had dinner and breakfast (but not included in the hotel price).Very central, although in such a small village that really wasn't so important.

Perfect location, just off the motorway, in a quiet village. Greeted by smiling and kind staff. Clean and comfortable beds.

No tea or coffee options in the rooms.

A good overnight stop in a lovely, quiet town. It was very convenient for shady dog walks by the Canal de Bourgogne, and the start of the tunnel. Our room was comfortable, and the restaurant was buzzing in the evening. We had a good breakfast before leaving, and would return here.

It took us a little while to find out where to check in - it seems that the Pizzeria/Bar next door is the "Head Office", but this is not immediately apparent! While our room was nice, the bathroom was very tired, especially the bath, & shower, (which was an attachment on the bath taps). I found the top of a shower gel bottle in the bath, which made me wonder how well it had been cleaned......The service in the restaurant was slow initially, mainly because there were only 2 people trying to cope with almost a full house. Once we had given our order, the meal arrived fairly promptly. The pizzas are very good!

Convenient overnight stay near to the motorway, pretty little village, nice staff.

The shower in our room was not good as it was leaking considerably where the hose joins the shower head. However we were only staying one night and off early in the evening so did not raise this with any of the staff.

Easy free parking in street. Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant in the hotel for dinner. Reasonable price.

Toilet in lobby was shabby with cracked/unhygienic seat. Bathroom in the room was generally clean but all tile grouting needs refreshing.

Generally hard to fault. food excellent and very good value.

Parking was difficult.

Location is great. Lovely restaurant and bar.

Service in the restaurant in the evening. One woman would not communicate at all with us. Her male colleague served us efficiently and quickly. Then disappeared when we wanted to order desert. He had gone for a cigarette and seemed to lose interest. I gave up on desert. At 21.45 they would not serve us again from the bar. Poor service spoiled a lovely evening.

Comfortable bed, clean room, plugs next to the bed, layout well designed, quiet, well run hotel.EXCELLENT good value dinner - we had the €26 menu and it was delicious. Good shower and internet too. Highly recommended.

Soap please

Small hotel. Very helpful host, good breakfast. Convenient if you travel along the Canal de Bourgogne by bike.

The restaurant is closed twice a week, so we could not have dinner there. No A/C

Staff were wonderful, went out of their way to let us know that they were able to have a room to hold our bags in before check in time. Also loved the dog assistant!

Shower knob was broken, difficult to get it working,

The breakfast was amazing with local products, fresh bread, high quality coffee, cheese, eggs, croissants, sausages. The room was very big. Our child had a real single bed, not a convertible arm-chair or a camping style bed. Animals are welcomed.Free parking.I also liked the location a lot.

The shower and the toilet were a bit old, no proper light in the cabin, there was no hot water in the shower at night, when we arrived. No idea why. In the morning it was all fine. The double bed was very old and needs to be replaced. It made loud noises every time we turned from one side to another. The hotel is open for everyone during the night, there was no one at the reception, they just left a key from our room on the table. Probably it's a very safe little town.

Excellent breakfast with friendly host. Comfortable room with robust fittings and ideal central location.

There was no soap in the room, just a sachet of shampoo/shower gel. Unfortunately the restaurant/bar/pizzeria was closed. This was not obvious at booking.

8LaceyPosted on: 7-14-2023

Very good

Noisy from 5 in the morning...bottles being put in the bin and people talking loudly

10ChristianPosted on: 6-21-2023

very comfortable stopover in a quiet village - good sized rooms

1JaynePosted on: 3-24-2023

There was nothing good about this hotel

First room we were given smelt very badly of cigarettes. Second room very small. Bathroom disgusting. Towels small and thin. No hairdryer. No where to sit or do hair etc. very noisy.

8JulienPosted on: 2-3-2023

I didn't have breakfast there

Beds are very close to the ground, very low but confortable. Rooms are very simple and with little furniture but fulfill what you expect: have a good shower, sleep well, quiet environment...

6NikolaPosted on: 9-22-2022

Some soap for washing hands in the bathroom would have been helpful. Tea and coffee in the room would also have been a bonus as arrived late. Otherwise room was great and spacious. Bed was very comfortable with quality sheets.
