Ilaeira Mountain Resort

We enjoyed our stay. Our cottage was very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful. The resort is remote but the views are spectacular. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room had two walls including the one behind the bed full of humidity, humidity stains and mold and broken paint. Bed base was pealing off from humidity. Room phones were disconnected so had to use cell phone to contact reception ( not practical when living abroad and roaming and rooms are far from main building with kids). Water kettle was broken and could not warm up baby milk; when I asked for replacement I was given the replacement kettle to carry to the room despite having a small child with me. Shower drainage was not working properly. Space Heaters were making noise due to poor maintenance. The hotel needs lots of maintenance for the rating it claims. In addition staff needs proper training. They are working at “best efforts and intentions”. Breakfast buffet opens at 8:30; we asked for breakfast options as we had to leave by 8:30 to catch a flight ( we asked if we could have a packed slice of bread for the kids and the answer was no!). Pls note there is nothing in the surroundings. At the end they opened the breakfast earlier and we could have a ten minute breakfast but we had to ask multiple times and the answer was: there are no options, we cannot help… same when we asked for a chocolate soufflé the day before at the cafe: first time it came with ice cream. Then next time it came without, they told us ice cream is finished but they charged the same. proper training is needed to reach the claimed hotel level. Restaurant staff was very helpful, flexible and the food was great. Good playground for young kids although I would question safety of the swings structure. Would go back if anything just for the location and the welcoming walnut drink the first day after an 8 hrs trip ( a good example of staff working at best intentions !)

The way to the property is not the easiest,but still quite ok!

Location, nature, view, comfortable bed, warm room, delicious healthy breakfast, staff, wood fire in room and delicious meals from restaurant.

Breakfast: there is no option for other than filtered coffee in the menu (unless you pay for it). The price for coffees cannot be considered as reasonable (more expensive than in Athens Marriott...)

Everything was great. The resort is beautiful in a spot inside the trees. I loved it! The room was comfortable and very hot in the winter! It also had restaurant and cafe so you would spend all the time inside if you wanted!

Sarantos from the restaurant was an absolute professional, quiet surroundings.

Cleaning/change of towels, lady at rhe breakfast buffet not polite.

The likeable things about this place are the outdoors. Very green, peaceful in nature.

The pictures of the room were misleading. The description of the room was simply wrong. It says that the deluxe apartment would have a living room and two separate rooms, while all that exists is one room and an attic room that are not separated. In addition, the Wi-Fi doesn't reach the rooms. The food in addition was simply sub-par.

Such a beautiful hotel with the landscape all around. Big, lovely room, with a kitchen and a little living room area.

The bed was not great for us, was a little small and the mattress was very springy

The location on the mountain was exceptional.The tavern offered not many plates but of good quality. As the nearest village is quite far away the tavern is a must when you have children

Lovely and peaceful with nice views. It was great having the pool bar and we really enjoyed the restaurant.

The room was very dark, and our bins were not emptied during our stay, which is what we would expect from a four star accommodation.

Location, beautiful and quiet mountain setup and amenities, a place out of this world, nice staff, cosy bungalows, shadowy where needed, perfect before a hike to Taygetos, pool area with bar splendid.

We loved the beautiful location, comfortable and well equipped rooms, pool & bar area. Breakfast was good and we had a delicious meal in the restaurant (try the goat!). This is a great place to stay for walks/ hiking in the Taygetus and visiting Mystras. Amazing views.

We liked the resort, it is cleverly organized and well equipped. Although the location of the resort seems remote, one can visit many Peloponnese highlights from there within an hour drive. The area is completely peaceful and one can truly rest. The pool and the staff service at the pool were amazing, we enjoyed spending time there. The breakfast was exceptional with plenty of salty and sweet options.

The apartment has a small kitchen but the very basic kitchenware that is not enough for cooking and the resort's restaurant is a bit expensive.

Fantastic choice, I am coming back year after year, looking for the quiet and comfortable rooms, the amazing swimming pool and the extremely kind and gentle attention by the entire staff. I will come back again!

Absolutely no negative points at all.

Breakfast is great. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Towel service at the pool is great (apart for 1 day, employer wasn’t in the mood I think). View is superb. Great value for money. Staff is friendly.

It is a choice: Looking for absolute rest, quiet and doing nothing this is the place to be, if you want some more things to do besides relaxing at the pool this is not your place. The drive up the mountain is a long one.

We liked location very much. It is a bit remote but we loved it. Our children liked the plying room and the pool was good. The restaurant nearby was good. Good food for very reasonable price. There was very nice man taking care for us there and we felt welcomed. There was also nice cat who always came and hang with us. Breakfast was not reach with many options but it was quality one. I loved this peaceful hideout.

The place is a bit dated. Our aircon did not work well (needed gas refill) so during the day was very hot. Luckily the nights get a bit more chill in mountains so we slept with open windows. It was actually quite romantic. All windows had mosquito net. The outdoor playground was closed due some repairs.

Very clean and kind staff. We had problem with wifi in our room and it was fixed very quickly.
