A Perfect Stay on the River in Pont-AvenWe had a truly wonderful stay at Hôtel de Charme Les Mimosas. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a private terrace that overlooked the tranquil L’Aven River. Each evening, we enjoyed our apéro on the terrace, watching the boats drift by and taking in the charm of visitors strolling through Pont-Aven.The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals—easily some of the best we had during our time in France. Our nights at Les Mimosas were among the most memorable of our entire trip. We can’t wait to return.

    Nothing it was wonderful

Pros: 1. Location is great. On the edge of the center of town right on the water. 2. Elevator was very nice3. WiFi is fast and reliable4. Coffee in the bar is excellent 5. Fan provided in the room6. Free parking lot relatively close by

Cons:1. Bathroom is ridiculously small. Toilet is in a separate room and it’s hard to open and close door without lifting your leg. Shower is tiny. There was no hand soap at the sink. 2. There was filth around the edge of both bathroom areas that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. 3. There were brown spots on the carpet right outside the toilet that looked like someone didn’t make it to the toilet. So gross!! They list carpeting as a feature…I think it’s gross!4. Our room was right over the restaurant/bar which stays open late. We couldn’t open our windows because of all the noise and cigarette smoke that would fill our room. And there’s no a/c so it got stuffy. The fan they provide helped a little. But the noise could be heard even with the windows shut. 5. The bedding had stains on it. Everything just felt unclean in the room. 6. There’s a phone literally hanging on the wall above your head behind the bed lol. It kept falling off and hitting us during the night. So ridiculous! Take it down! All in all we wouldn’t stay here again. Glad we were there only one night.

We liked everything. Our 'rrom with a view' of the river and boats, the decor, our lovely comfy bed, the staff were genuinely warm and helpful - one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in.

We'd have liked to have been able to make coffee in our room.

    It was all good.

Stayed 3 nights in a room with a terrace at this charming boutique hotel overlooking the river. The staff in general are very welcoming, professional and friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom small but modern and perfectly adequate. Tye bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The breakfast consisted of fresh orange juice, fruit salad and yoghurt, bread rolls and cheese, pain et confiture, tea or coffee. Only a short walk (5 minutes) to centre if the town. The restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent - fabulous seafood as well as perfectly cooked and flavorsome steak. Service was a bit slow but the quality of the food made the wait worthwhile.Highly recommend this hotel for its atmosphere.

Just one male waiter at dinner who was rather arrogant. (there is always one) In fairness it was a very busy night but never an excuse for rudeness.

The hotel was indeed charming with a traditional decor suitable to the location. The restaurant was very convenient with a good menu with local cuisine. Our meals ranged from good to excellent. The location was picturesque, yet very close to the centre of town.

Superb building, superb location, grand bed room with white marble bathroom and wisterias growing on the terrace.

The internet signal was a bit weak but the owner tells us the system is to be upgraded in the near future.

The location and staff were great especially male breakfast waiter he brought strawberries and oranges in for breakfast The view from the bedroom was so lovely as looks out into the estuary. The family room is the window top right in the picture above amazing room.

It is fish restaurant with live crabs and lobsters in a tank not sure I liked this and I could smell fish in the dining area which you would expect if a fish restaurant.

    9JeffreyPosted on: 8-20-2023

Rooms are comfortable with luxe bedding. Location overlooking the boats in the small harbor was lovely and being right in town made it convenient to walk the town. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent as well.
