Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is located in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. All rooms have a modern interior design and are fully equipped with complimentary WiFi, communal area, LCD, Satellite TV, hairdryer, clothing rack, extra pillows, phone, soap, and a kettle with tea and coffee. The rooms are fitted with a desk and a private bathroom. The daily breakfast includes a cold and hot buffet. The Hotel offers continental and vegetarian breakfast options and consist of local products. Guests can enjoy stunning mountain views, a cocktail bar and in-house restaurant serving Icelandic cuisine. Hiking is among the activities that guests can enjoy near the accommodations. Staff at Hótel Kría are always available to provide information at the 24-hour reception.

Clean room, great location. Walking distance to many restaurants and grocery store. Very friendly helpful staff.
Breakfast and view

Cons -

The room is too humid. Feel uncomfortable while sleeping
Lugging our luggage across a parking lot, no entrance near cars, why would you design it that way? Make sure you get the back side of the hotel or you get a lovely view of the gas station and the road.
Hotel still under construction. Only one entrance completed, and patios outside room still under construction. Not ideal! Bathroom fixtures of lesser quality than expected for this type of hotel. Overall, overpriced for the amenities.

Clean, new, great breakfast. Quiet if you get the back side f the hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.
