Campanile NATURE - La Rochelle Puilboreau

There was unfortunately black mold in the room and only one towel and no shower mat for the floor. Along the side of the building on the way to and from stairs, there were dangerous bolts sticking out of the wall.

Very simple but comfortable. Convenient to La Rochelle. Modern hotel

Would have liked a refrigerator. Shower floor was slippery.

Perfect adapted wheelchair room. Car parked adjacent, staff friendly and a good April 1st prank early fire alarm call. ?Otherwise good value stop over. .

Warm welcome with friendly staff. Room clean and super comfy bed. Room large enough to accommodate dog bed. Just off main road to La Rochelle so easy to find with the Satnav.

Would have been ideal if one could get a snack in the evening rather than dinner.

The room was very clean and the breakfast excellent. It is so rare to find fresh fruits in hotels.I really enjoyed. The politeness of the staff.

no tea or coffee , unfortunately there was road works to get to the hotel which made it very difficult to find the hotel taking another route,especially when you don't know the area.

We did not stay here. We couldn’t get in.

We arrived at 16h00, our booking information said that we could check in after 14h00. The hotel was completely shut and we could not get in, or find anyone to help us. There did seem to be some sort of check in screen, but that wasn’t working either. After a long drive it was frustrating to be unable to access our accommodation . There was also major building work directly outside the building. We subsequently booked elsewhere, but were charged for this property.

No tea or coffee vending machine available. Air condition unit leaking water over the floor.

The shower drainage was a little smelly when we arrived.

Nice, clean accommodation which was convenient for an overnight stop on our road trip.

Breakfast wasn’t worth the money and it is around 15 minutes drive to the port of La Rochelle (which was fine but as we had a car but just something to be aware of)

They didn’t want to accept I had booked two rooms through booking even when I showed them the screen. Resolved in the end after a long wait

Breakfast was very nice; lots of choice and fresh food! Easy check-in and check-out (both rooms were on the ground floor and we had big suitcases so it was very well appreciated) Electric shutters on the windows is nice as well as the double door to minimise the noise from the highway.Sockets had both standard USB and USB-C which was great.

Nothing. Keycard didn't work, which if we hD been staying longer would've been an issue bit for is no problem.

Avoid

Terribly designed rooms, no kettle and it’s right by the main road so no chance of a quiet night !

We were on the ground floor with a leak in wet room en-suite. Parking for the car directly outside making it easy to carry in luggage. Good breakfast area and buffet in the morning

There wasn’t a kettle in the room to make a drink and the plug sockets didn’t seem to take the continental adaptor. It just fell out! We are finding this across France in budget accommodation. Would advise taking a portable battery charger to rely on. Also take travel mugs and fill up on coffee or tea before you arrive. If you arrive after 9pm the facilities are locked in a communal area until the next day.

Easy to find with ample free car parking. The staff are lovely and we were welcomed with a beaming smile from Cedric, who was assisted by Paula, and Toni was great in the restaurant. They all spoke very good English. Everything was as you would expect from a Campanile, clean, comfortable, well appointed, however we were a little disappointed to find this was the first Campanile we have visited without tea/coffee facilities in the rooms.

Breakfast was miserable; half the choice was missing although we were early at the breakfast buffet ☹️A/C useless and extremely noisy.
