Hotel Miera

Breakfast buffet was excellent with good variety, fresh bread, good coffee. Good value for price.Location of hotel was good for visiting Lierganes and surrounding area. Parking right outside of hotel.

The hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

No evening meal, but that was probably because of the time of the year.

The room was a bit too hot. Since it was facing the main street, it was noisy with an open window.One more thing, which was common for many hotels we stayed in Spain, - there was no way to get hot water for tea in the evening. It would be nice to have some option at least in the cafeteria or near reception, if not in the room.

The location was very good and the staff was very nice and welcoming. Price - value is very decent.

The space in the bed area of the rooms was a little tight.

The hotel is modern, bright, and attractively decorated. Our room was large, bright and had a balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The staff are excellent - they spent time with us advising on where to go and to eat in the wider region. Breakfast offered a good range of Spanish, English and Cantabrian food.Parking is in front of the hotel. It does get full sometimes, but there is public off-road parking quite near.Lierganes is a delightful small town in beautiful countryside yet only half an hour's drive from Santander and, hence, a convenient stopover for both ferry and planes as well as being an interesting place to visit in its own right.

Our bed was quite hot at night.

What a delightful hotel. We stayed for 4 nights. Our first room was at the front of the hotel and the room was quite small. As it was a Saturday night, the hotel was full. However, the incredibly helpful staff Aida and Esteban, showed us some room options and we were very happy with room 207 for the next 3 nights. It had a balcony and was located on the side of the hotel with amazing views. The room was spotless. There was plenty of storage space, a large bathroom, with a powerful shower and lots of hot water. The breakfast was a buffet style continental breakfast, with lots of choice. Lierganes is a beautiful village with plenty of restaurants and cafes and a market on Sundays. There is a train station a short walk from the hotel and the train to Santander is less than 4 euros per person each way. We totally recommend this hotel.

The small double room is quite tight. It is worth a few more euros for a larger room with a balcony on the side of the hotel.

The hotel was very comfortable, the receptionist was really helpful . Just a short walk from all the facilities of the town centre. Good buffet breakfast.

Staff was very friendly and helpful with bike storage. Breakfast was fine. Having parking was a benefit.

Room was quite small and warm (especially after showering, the heat didn't leave).

Nice modern rooms, parking in front, not too much traffic. Very nice buffet breakfast.

The worst

I decided to book a room after reading all of the positive reviews about this hotel. However, my experience was not so good.First of all, the room for 2 people was very small and airless. You have to either suffocate with closed windows or open the windows exposing yourself to the noise of the traffic. The traffic was quite heavy in the night and in the early morning. It did not allow to sleep well.Another downside of this hotel is that the staff was very rude at least to me. They spoiled the end of an otherwise very pleasant day.The only good thing about this hotel was that the accommodation was very cheap. In all other aspects, it was the worst hotel during my trip in Spain. I will definitely not stay here again, and will not recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quite place with good service.

Comfortable room with great views. Very reasonably priced.Great location with a great restaurant over the road if you arrive early.12 o'clock check out which is great if you have a late ferry. Definitely stay again.

Scenery

As the hotel is not managed after midnight the front door when opened by clients left the door to bang shut shacking the building each time they went out or came in so got woken up a quite a few times during the night

Room exactly what we paid for . Very clean room . Continental breakfast really nice .

Wasn’t anything to dislike

Excellent value; hotel was spotless, modern and well appointed. Room was spacious, with a UK size spa bath. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Only slight negative was the low availability of parking.The location is idyllic; we would have stayed longer had we not been sailing from Santander the following day.

Difficulty in finding a parking space, although we did not arrive until after 8pm.

The hotel is immaculately clean and modern. The reception staff were just so friendly and helpful, booked me a taxi to the airport for Sunday morning. The breakfast is really good, more choice than I had expected and a lovely terrace room to sit and enjoy the sun whilst having breakfast. There is parking straight in front of the hotel, nice Pizzaria just down the road very reasonably priced, and Boulavard 8 great place to have a drink and watch the world go by. There is also an interesting market held on a Sunday. I would definatly stay there again. It was extremely hot whilst we were there, but fan provided
