Pros +
- The room was great, the staff was friendly and the restaurant served great food at reasonable prices. The location is great, right on the main roar and the private parking for customers was good and just across the street.
- The staff was very nice; Amazing pregnancy massage with Sara; The restaurant was very good (best meals we had in the region were there).
- Very comfortable and modern hotel. Spacious rooms. Free use of pool and sauna. Great location in the Serra da Estrela National Park. Fridge in the room. The hotel had a restaurant with very good food. Free parking. Free and fast WiFi.
Cons -
- The food at the restaurant took a while, about an hour. But the staff was friendly and when the food did arrive it was very good!
- Had to book every time we wanted to go to the spa which made the experience less spontaneous; The spa could have more amenities; The room was outdated - the furniture needs replacement, the pillows were not very comfortable, the hair dryer was not very good and the toilet in general could be nicer, the HVAC would work on hot or cold for the entire hotel which means if someone wanted heat, we couldn't set it on cold, the room had a great view but the chairs pointing to the windows were very uncomfortable so we wouldn't sit there.

Nothing we did not like!
It's great value, spa was very good and with a view, my mum loved the massage, the room was spacious and well organised with nice furniture. We had dinner at the hotel and were impressed with the quality of the restaurant too.
The black out curtains do not reach well near the walls, so a lot of light comes in even with them closed, I recommend bringing eye covers.Breakfast was good but not great. It was a bit disappointing compared to the rest of the experience. The quality of food is good, but there isn't a lot of variety, just the basics.
One staff person was nice
We were asked to wait for check in 15 mins before it opened at 3 pm after overhearing rooms were ready. Staff member that did check in was not nice. Breakfast staff member was rude asking us to sit at another table. It was 9 am and half the tables were reserved for lunch with no visible indication. Felt like I was being scolded. The restaurant was empty. The pool/spa needed to be booked and only 1h per day. It was empty and in reality no one was even checking. It was summer so the hotel wasn't full. They had every opportunity to make our stay a pleasant one but didn't even try. Everyone in town said the hotel was amazing. We stayed for 3 nights and are still wondering what the local people consider amazing.
The room was extraordinarily large. Without the view of mountains but really nice. It is great that this hotel offers wellness as well but to be honest it is not worth it. Saunas were turned off and the surroundings around the pool weren't very clean. Breakfast were delicious
Comfortable room, nice spa, great breakfast
It’s comfortable and nice, but a bit old in the details but it didn’t change the impression. Also for spa you need to ask to warm the sauna, otherwise it’s cold
Good location and clean. Very good restaurant!
Nothing reallu
The SPA area and the restaurant and of course the view
Staff was great, hotel was clean but most important the restaurant was Devine.
It’s the third time we stayed at this hotel. It’s in a great location for anyone who wants to ski. It’s about a 15 min ride with the car to go to the ski area. It’s easy to park the car in front of behind the hotel. Late check in was possible. Dinner was good.
The pool should be warmer in my opinion and the spa area could have more lounge chairs. There were only 4 chairs for 6 people that had access to the spa at the same time.
Good place to stay with a good room. The dinner was the best part (but we paid it apart).
The pool wasn’t exactly warm and the breakfast could be better.
Good location, nice to have a sauna and pool. Room was spacious, dinner was delicious.
Breakfast could have more options. The region has so many delicious breads, meats and cheeses but I felt that these were not well represented at breakfast.
friendly staff who accommodated our late check in request, comfy room good price
A bit cold before AC heats up the room
Very clean. We stayed in a cozy family room, which was big and had a good layout for privacy. Everything was neat. Breakfast has a good selection. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. A very enjoyable stay.
I was expecting a better spa, considering the emphasis it has. Either way, it was very enjoyable. The breakfast very good, but the pastries were not really fresh. No kettle in the room.
Location is great, has private parking, super nice staff, good restaurant, spacious rooms, ours on the 3rd floor had a lot of sun and great view, bar with activities (like karaoke), indoor pool and sauna.
You can only stay 1 hour in the pool and need to book it. Even though it may be upsetting, it's understandable to make sure every guest has the opportunity to use it without being crowded all the time. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and the noise from the AC or the pool machines (unsure what machines it was coming from), was terrible. Couldn't fall asleep, and then at some point at late hours it stopped but then started again at dawn.Blackouts also did not completely close so we couldn't block the light from coming through the windows, and the room was very luminous!
Good restaurant
Located in the middle of nowhere, way overpriced, the pool and “spa” were meh
there was a pool
there wasn't a kettle+tea and coffee
Amazing and well designed/managed property, on-site free parking, cozy common spaces, spacious room with all of the needed amenities and stunning bathroom, limited but tasty breakfast, sensational indoor pool, spa/massage options at reasonable price points, very pleasant staff members, great location in the middle of SdE
Twin beds merged into one, small room’s window with obstructed view
Location was perfect. The hotel is clean, has very friendly staff and had an extensive breakfast that we all enjoyed.
