Nice location very relaxing with a relaxing view to the river. Lovely breakfast and staff super friendly and helpful. Tesla destination charger available was a plus.

Location was great.

It’s called relaxation luxury hotel, but when we arrive, the whole day, there were lots of noise from the gardeners team that work on the garden.The food in the restaurant was bad. Didn’t like the dinner or breakfast.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was far below expectations. I chose this place because of its isolated location, hoping for a restful stay. However, just four days before my check-in, I was informed that a wedding celebration would be taking place that same night. I was warned that it might affect my rest, but the hotel did not offer any option to reschedule or cancel.I contacted the hotel to ask what measures would be taken to ensure restful conditions, but received no reply. On the night of my stay, the noise from the wedding was constant from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., and my noise-measuring app registered levels over 67 dB, far above the legal limit.The following day, I requested the complaints book to record what happened, but the response from the hotel was disappointing and lacking empathy: they said that if I was sensitive to noise, I should not have come.To date, I have received no official response to my complaint, even though the legal deadline for responding has passed. It’s clear to me that this hotel does not prioritize the well-being of its guests, focusing instead on maximizing profit by holding loud events on-site, with no regard for guests’ rest. I would not recommend this place to anyone seeking a quiet, high-quality stay.

the jacuzzi and pool didn't feel that clean. the a/c in bedroom wasn't sufficient

We booked a room for just 1 night as a little romantic getaway during our holiday in Portugal. Upon arrival the peaceful area in which the hotel is located really soaks you into an relaxing mood. We were welcomed by friendly staff and even tho we arrived a little early, they made sure that our room was clean and ready for us. The room is very clean, nicely decorated and breaths the peaceful environment of the area. The spa facilities are great, we were lucky to have them all to ourselfs. There is an indoor pool, turkish steam sauna, jacuzzi and sauna. Right outside the pool area is enough space to soak up the sun on one of the chairs, a bar and a children playground. The hotel offers a library, pooltable, restaurant, roomservice, minibar, lounge area and enough activities which can be booked as an extra for your stay. Breakfast is included in each booking.Our overall experience is that this was the perfect getaway to really enjoy the peace and eachother.

Location was very relaxing, room and patio were a good size, large comfortable bed.

There is no cold water pool, only pool is under cover. Breakfast was disappointing for a 4* Hotel, more choice was needed. Restaurant was not in the Hotel, a short walk with access via either steps or quite a slope No other options locally if you do not have transport.

Broke my toes because of slippery tiles and ladder in spa. Pool is like 50cm depth with 40 degrees water in it, sauna with broken door, steam sauna not working at all, no room service. AC almost not working.

Spa area lacks maintenance (Jacuzzi not working properly, Sauna door broken - loosing temperature, etc).There is no permanent bar for food and drinks during the day in the Hotel.Breakfast could be more complete, and fruit should be more fresh and tasteful.

Beautiful setting, comfortable bed, excellent walk -in shower and fridge in room.Staff were very friendly.The hotel makes their own Douro, which was very good.

We booked a deluxe king with hot tub and we would expect there to be a kettle with tea and coffee in the room.The hot tub is limited to 30 degrees for safety reasons. This is probably warm enough for summer but it was a cold day when we stayed so we would have liked it to be warmer.

The SPA was really nice, very relaxing. The breakfast was also very good, with a lot of diversity.

Good breakfast, with some options to choose between (fruit, pancakes, eggs, bacon, cereals, different types of bread and jam). The spa was really good, the hotel has also great surroundings to go for a walk with kids or with the partner.

The room was comfortable, the only problem was that the internet connection was really low, practically impossible to use. The place is very quiet. Also, maybe it would be good to have like a bar inside the hotel to have some snacks instead of only having the restaurant. The restaurant itself is OK, but nothing special considering the prices of the meals.

The hotel was very nice all round and great value. The room was superb and had great views over the river in the distance and was very clean. The scenery outside was fantastic and the hotel situated in a very quiet and tranquil location in it's woodland retreat. The breakfast was wonderful and covers everybody's needs to start the day. If I had a negative about the hotel it would be the gym which needs updating with new equipment that actually works and doesn't fall to bits or is in bits and not functional. I did a session on arriving on the first day and it wasn't ideal. Overall very happy and we will return next year. Thumbs up

The staff

The restaurant was a good walk outside the hotel, down many steps. Not good for elderly people or anyone with walking issues. The restaurant food was extremely disappointing, over cooked and not eatable. The restaurant was a complete disaster, except for Pedro and the young lady (apologies for not remembering your names) absolutely fantastic… great people…. Shame that the food never lived up to normal expectations..

Communication with the staff was good, breakfast options were also quite good. Overall quite a relaxing experience, considering you are pretty much isolated from the outer world. The room with the jacuzzi is really worth it, especially because out-of-the-room hygiene rules are quite loose and not enforced by the staff.

Unfortunately, some rules are not enforced in areas like the pool, where caps are said to be mandated but in fact, no one actually cares to enforce them. What happens is that these areas might end up not quite clean, if you're lucky enough to have unpolite people around.
