About
Ideally located in the heart of the town, on the harbor at Paimpol, the Hôtel K’Loys is housed in a former 19th-century shipowner’s residence. Guests enter via a light-filled reception area beneath a large glass roof. The rooms in this part of the hotel are decorated in an ‘English’ style. Some of them offer stunning views of the harbor, while others look out over the rooftops of Old Paimpol’s narrow streets. The hotel also has eight rooms decorated in a more contemporary style. Breakfast is served as a sweet and savory buffet, featuring local produce and largely homemade dishes. The hotel has a restaurant (‘Chez Tonton Guy’) and a bar, both with terraces overlooking the harbor. The Hotel K’Loys is located on the Goëlo coast, a 10-minute drive from Pointe de l’Arcouest, where the ferry to Bréhat Island departs. It is located on the GR 34 walking route, close to Poulafret Cove, Pointe de Guilben and Beauport Abbey and its gardens.

Pros +
- small hotel in an old mansion overlooking the pleasure boat Harbor, right in the center with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shopping nearby and a colorful bit quiet nightlife. We had the room with the balcony shown in the picture, which was large and well appointed and clean. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. This was our second stay, and we would return again.
- Great location on the port. The room was very small but very cheap and was actually very cozy, like a cabin on a boat. It has a cute, tiny office with a window, and that makes it more spacious.
- Location. Tremendous welcome from the gentleman on Reception. We were early but he ushered us to our room and made recommendations for dinner. The room was spotless and had all we needed. This hotel is virtually on the quayside in Paimpol, near the marina/harbour as well as the restaurants, shops and tourist info office. Breakfast was very good, just what we needed.
Cons -
- The layout of the hotel is somewhat bizarre. I had to take the elevator to the 4th floor and then descend two flights of stairs to my room. This isn’t a problem but it is rather quaint.
- All good.
- Old fashioned shower over bath with no shower screen and toilet seat was badly chipped and dark chips on a white seat is not an appealing sight!

We stayed in the captain’s room. It was a lovely room but on the Saturday night it was exceptionally windy and it was very noisy but I would certainly recommend the hotel.
The room decor, quiet, adjacent to good restaurants, by the waterfront

Beautiful room overlooking the harbour decorated in a maritime style. Felt like we were sleeping in a Bedouin tent with the roof drapes and blinds. Wonderful! And what a view to wake up to! Bed was very comfortable. Kettle provided. Plenty of space. Bathroom compact and the shower was good once the hot water came through. We were obviously a long way from the boiler but that wasn’t a problem. Loved our stay and hope to be back. We didn’t have breakfast but reading the reviews I’m thinking we definitely missed out!! Next time!
All good.
Position, quirky style, balcony and view

Easy walking distance from station, attractive location beside harbour, good quality furniture, convenient lifts, friendly staff
A perfect location and individual bedrooms. The beds, linens and pillows were clean and very comfortable.
Breakfast was very good but a little overpriced and the dining room was very small. I felt that I was disturbing other guests whenever I went to the servers.
Great location, well equipped modern room. Breakfast was good and the old part of the building charming.
Room layout a little awkward, a bit noisy at night but it is right in the centre which is great. No parking. Free parking at the train station 5 mins walk away.
Good location on harbour, nice room, good shower in modern bathroom.
Bike storage a little cramped in outdoor area at front of hotel.
Fabulous location, family hotel with an interesting history. Secure cycle parking and fabulous view over the port. Extra special stop on EuroVelo 4 - we stayed one night then left our bags to be looked after until late afternoon while we spent a day on Ile de Brehat.
Very comfortable bedGood location to historic old Paimpol
Noisy bar next door which was under our room and on an alley. Loud drunks, vomiting, pissing... from about 10 pm to 3 am.No air conditioner so had to leave windows open to breathe. They did provide a fan but unfortunately it did not drown out music, people..
This hotel is a lovely place to stay in one of the most remote points of Bretagne. The rooms were excellent, the reception staff was great and the breakfast staff (run by a very friendly and dynamic lady) gets a special gold medal for the service provided. truly a lovely experience!
Only minus could be that the hotel did not have its own parking, but the public parking in front of the hotel did cover that need.
Great location, large room, staff very helpful. Storage for bikes and able to charge electric bike.
Position, Position, Position. The Hotle is querky and we love it. Have stayed there a few times,Staff are brilliant and great place to stay.
No parking. Restaurant next door - part of the hotel I think - service was great but food was terrible.
The bed was comfortable, shower and other facilities acceptable.
The room was quite small and rather dated. Our stay was less pleasant because the entire quay outside the hotel was occupied by a large travelling fair- dodgems, sweet stalls etc etc. View spoiled and atmosphere compromised.
Very charming hotel facing the old harbour. The room was perfect, with a touch of old villa fashion. Very nice common spaces, to read or chat booking at the sea. The breakfast was majestic. The staff was nice and helpful.
Position was superb. Rooms delightful. Reception staff incredibly helpful. Really nice hotel.?
Nothing really. Storage for our bicycles was slightly confined and awkward but safe enough.
great position, lovely room and bathroom, large comfortable bed
no food served
