    Pros +

    • Friendly and very attentive waitresses and all hotel personnel, overall outstanding service, excellent food.
    • Professional, helpful staff and exquisite facilities. Hotel restaurant is the best in town. Great spa facilities and pool. This was one of the best stats we’ve ever experienced.
    • Super helpful, kind and nice staff.Amazing breakfast buffet, one of the best I've seen so far.Facilities (SPA) are very nice and well maintained - the Sauna's were pretty busy in the afternoon but still manageable.Restaurant is very nice and good quality with a few small challenges.

    Cons -

    • The bed could have been a bit more comfortable
    • Not much; however, the restaurant was a bit struggling with steak temperature (they know medium and well-done, not much in between), and the high-end-hamburger was no high end, rather a bit disappointing. That's too bad as we like to switch from fancy to comfort from time to time and comfort food seems to be "neglected".
    • The hallway /stair carpet could be updated.

Wonderful hotel with great food, including excellent breakfast. Beautiful location close to the beach and to the town center.

The single room was really small, especially the bed and the bath room.

The location is breathtaking, and the hotel itself is beautifully decorated, immaculate, and very professionally run by helpful, friendly staff.

    Not a thing!

The staff is absolutely lovely and friendly. We got a welcome drink while checking in and a very tasty jam as a small present while checking out. My husband ordered a bouquet for my birthday and the hotel did a wonderful job by finding/making one of the best bouquets I’ve ever got. Breakfast was rich with a lot of options. The pool is nice and always empty in the evening. Ice cream in the restaurant is a must

Unfortunately, there were some things that I didn’t like and that are deal breakers for me. Air in our room was extremely dry. We woke up during night to drink some water, which was only one small bottle for 2 guests. My nose hurt inside because of the dryness and my skin got aggressively worse. At a 4 star hotel I’d expect sleepers and a kettle in the room, but we didn’t find any. The walls between rooms are absolutely thin to the point we’ve heard everything our neighbors did in the bathroom, their talks and even a dogs barking 2(!!) floors away. Last but not least: I don’t eat gluten, and this hotel provides gluten-free rolls when asked. I was absolutely shocked to get a couple of bread rolls in the sealed plastic bags that were heated like this (supposedly in a microwave). I’m okay with rolls from a freezer that were heated, but in a plastic bag? And they tasted very bad, to be honest, they were the worst that I’ve ever eaten (tasted and smelled like fuel oil or so). I had to eat them because I need bread for my breakfast, but if you’re also gluten intolerant, avoid eating at their restaurant.

Beautiful hotel situated on top of a hill overlooking the ocean. Nice rooms, clean, the lady bartender was great, plenty of parking available, good breakfast. The town of Sellin is very pretty.

There are two access roads to the hotel. Both are very steep, and can be very tricky to negotiate in winter conditions unless you have a 4WD. The restaurant staff has very limited/no knowledge of English.

Great breakfast! Super helpful staff who were very friendly and open. Loved the midcentury-modern style pool, and of course incredible views.

The bar doesn't open until late afternoon, which was a bit inconvenient for a vacation.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location could not be better. Breakfast was very good and fresh.

    10VarvaraPosted on: 6-7-2022

The location is just perfect - amazing sea view and right next to the forest as well. The staff was incredibly helpful and polite, made my stay there very pleasant and comfortable. By far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I will definitely be back. Thank you all wholeheartedly for your hospitality and kindness. ?

We had a lovely few days at the Bernstein hotel in the early spring of 2022. It's a friendly, family-run hotel with an exceptional location and very professional and kind staff. From the very beginning we have felt welcomed and well-taken care of :-) Our room was immaculate, spacious and quiet. Breakfasts have been served in beautiful surroundings where you could enjoy the seaside view, we found them very tasty. We are pescatarians and still had been happy with the choice we got. During breakfast time the staff has also been very courteous and helpful. We have also rented bicycles for one day (at the hotel) and enjoyed our time discovering the coast. Later in the evening we also used the sauna. We would be happy to return.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The staff was very polite, helpful and professional. We couldn't have been welcomed more warmly

Some of the amenities inside need renovation and the buffet was overall various with good range of cheese, bread, fish and meat but lacking some fresh fruits and vegetables at least at the time we got breakfast.

I had a very nice stay at Hotel Bernstein. The hotel is just in front of the sea, offering a very nice view. The service is attentive to our needs. Last but not least the breakfast is very good and the restaurant offers different vegetarian options and that's not so common in the region!

Hotel with breathtaking sea view, 5 min walk down to the beach and promenade.Had a reasonable spacious and very modern single room: comfortable bedding with 3 (!) different cushions, mini fridge, modern bathroom.Well equipped gym.Indoor pool spaciously.Outstanding breakfast buffet.Staff very friendly and welcoming. In off-season a great deal!!

No tea or coffee making facilities in room

It is a nice , clean and comfortable hotel with many wonderful service for guests.

    5TaísPosted on: 7-21-2021

Pool and Sauna are very nice but should be booked for only an hour.

My suite was the farest from see view on the side of the Hotel. Even after asking for another room, they did not help and got unfriendly. Anyways there are so many high trees in Front of the Hotel that you can not see much the Ocean. There is no entertainment for kids, like 0! And many old people as guests who seems to be very disturbed by them. Kids get very bored. Less towels than we needed in the room, no towels for my kid and no towels for sauna and pool. Also downstairs in the stations no towels are available. Breakfast was not good for a 4 stars. Aweful taste of salmon, for instance.
