    Pros +

    • I stayed at this hotel some ten years ago and thought it one of the most pleasant places I had ever been. It shows its age a bit now—the bathroom could be refreshed, and there is no air conditioning—but it is still exceptional. Unlike so many places on the Baltic coast, Dierhagen is not spoiled by droves of tourists. If I had more money, I would happily spend a week or two here.
    • Spacious reception dinning bar area. Evening buffet outstanding choice and excellent value for money.
    • The location is great. 5 min to the sea

    Cons -

    • The staff at the reception could have been friendlier. If you need sauna towels or bath robes you can get them there. Unfortunately no one told us at arrival. The lockers in front of the pool have an awful smell of toilets
    • The people working at the reception and some in the restaurant could be much more friendly. Haven't had a less welcome feeling in the last 40 years. But honestly 50% of the guests had been the same. Must be what to expect in this part of Germany. Very pretty region though.
    • the breakfast was very poor. The bread quality was bad, very few warm options, no salad. No peanut butter. No bananas. It would be nice to have some fresh local products at breakfast.

Hi Generally we can say that everything was good. Just some comments from our side. As the hotel is located near the sea we've thought that it could be logical that there should be a place where you can dry your swimsuits in the room as you need at least to rinse your swimwear from salt water. But there were no any possibility in the bathroom to dry them. If you like and you are used to sleep on hard orthopedic pillows better take them with you. Hotel's pillows were for as extremely soft. Spa services are super, especially seaweed wraps. Breakfast and Dinner Buffets are super! And please don't based on our answer about the coffee! We don't drink coffee at all ( yeah such people are existing :-)P But the tea was good!

love the Bauhaus design. There is an indoor Basketball court in the hotel ? the sauna was great, the beds are comfortable. The rooms are spacious. The hotel‘s location close to the beach is very nice. The all you can eat dinner was good.

the breakfast was very poor. The bread quality was bad, very few warm options, no salad. No peanut butter. No bananas. It would be nice to have some fresh local products at breakfast.

Enjoyed the sauna, how close it was to the beach

The dinner buffet was quite disappointing for the price, and the beds were not the most comfortable

Great location (very close to the beach), with free parking, an adequate swimming pool + spa area (a bit small, however), a few vegan options at breakfast, and dog-friendly. The rooms are spacious and very clean.

Even though I speak German my partner does not. It is a bit baffling that, in the 21st century at one of the richest countries in Europe, there are people in the hospitality sector who do not speak English. It would be good to have a small fridge and a way to make coffee/tea.

Everything,! Nice, friendly and helpful staff,Swimming pool great, very quiet surroundings,Great breakfast in bright room with a view to the Bodden, half pension buffet at reasonable 22 Euros very good value, in the morning a hotel newspaper with information about the hotel and area, daily joke, Sudoku and something for the kids to do. Good bicycles to rent at the hotel and only 300 meters to the sea.

    Everything was perfect!

great location, only footsteps away from the shore.hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. overall the hotel gave a good impression from cleanliness to the option to use the pool, restaurant and gym.

unfortunately our bathroom wasn’t clean. On our first night we tried the optional dinner buffet and were very disappointed- everything we tried was overcooked and very basic. unfortunately there were no kids meals at all. also the breakfast buffet (which is included in the price) was very basic- the hot meal options were disappointing, there was plenty of cold cuts and cheese but nothing special. it felt like having bf in a cafeteria.

Dierhagen is very nice small resort town itself, the hotel is on outskirts of it, it’s new and comfortable, has everything you need in the room, comfortable beds, quiet, we slept so good, and Frau Borobick on the reception was very nice. Nice swimming pool, excellent saunas - so nice after long walk on the beach

    everything was just fine

5 min from the beach.Very nice swimming pool and saunas.Staff is very nice and helpful.Very quiet and green all around the hotel.

You can get a bit lost in the hotel. Indications are not very clear inside the building.

The room was clean and nice, but the reseption staff was unfriendly and did not seem to care to answer our questions. They apparently did not understand a word of English, and acted as though they did not care to understand our attempts of speaking German.
