    Pros +

    • This hotel distinguishes itself through an adherence to standards that feel both traditional and quietly exacting. It offers comfort without pretence, refinement without vanity, and service that is attentive without intrusion. One leaves with the impression of having been well looked after, though never patronised—a balance the English have long understood and others persistently attempt to imitate. The room displayed a gratifying sense of composure and quiet authority, as though it understood precisely what was required of it and declined to make a fuss about delivering it. The proportions were pleasing, the furnishings tastefully conservative, and the overall atmosphere one of understated assurance rather than ostentation. The bed, in particular, invited repose with a firmness that suggested deliberation rather than accident, and the room as a whole encouraged a rare and civilised calm. The bathroom was an exercise in discreet competence, bordering on elegance. Fixtures were of evident quality, water temperature behaved impeccably, and the space invited unhurried use rather than perfunctory retreat. There was a sense that comfort had been considered carefully, though never advertised, and that cleanliness was assumed rather than proclaimed. It was, quite simply, as one would hope a bathroom to be.Breakfast was conducted with an air of mild ceremony, as though nourishment were being dispensed not merely as a necessity but as a small act of cultural preservation. The selection was generous without tipping into vulgar excess, and the quality of ingredients spoke quietly of discernment. Nothing clamoured for attention; instead, flavours revealed themselves with measured confidence. One departed the dining room feeling properly fortified and faintly reassured about the state of the world.

    Cons -

    • Ossendrecht is an admirably orderly town, distinguished chiefly by its commitment to tranquillity and its apparent suspicion of excitement. The streets are neat, the pace unhurried, and the general atmosphere one of unbroken calm, which will appeal greatly to those who regard activity as optional. There is little in the way of diversion, entertainment, or cultural provocation, and the town seems perfectly at ease with this arrangement. Amenities exist, though they perform their duties without enthusiasm or invitation. One is never inconvenienced, but rarely stimulated.Ossendrecht is best suited to those seeking rest, routine, and an early night, and less so to visitors in search of novelty or engagement. It is a place that functions impeccably—provided one does not ask too much of it.
    • Check your facilities for your room before booking - they show you will have coffee/tea facilities in the photo's associated with your room but when you get there they inform you that the standard room does not have everything that is in the photos. Small pillows - size of a scatter cushion had to ask for more.
    • The stairs to my room (408) were extremely narrow and steep, almost dangerous especially when carrying a bag

Great breakfast and good location since nearby Antwerp and close to the highway to reach Rotterdam. For business trips, I found it ideal considering the huge parking and full silence in the evening paired to the restaurant at the ground floor with good quality food.

Great restaurant, great staff, nice location

Mostly everything was really well. We ate dinner and had breakfast and the food was fantastic.

The staff for dinner made us feel we were doing them a favour. We had to ask a couple of times for things, they did not seat us where a place setting was set. BEWARE, they charge 3Euro for tap water! I refused to pay and they accepted that. However upon check out she had not removed the charge but the receptionist did credit us. It would have been so amazing if we had not had to deal with this.

Plenty of parking space available.Breakfast fair and basic.

Need badly refurbishment. Bit filthy (dents, scratches , mold, etc, in the room).Lag of information, no receptionists on weekend mornings. Bit noisy (most doors bumping recklessly all around)

The food, menu and friendly, informative staff

No taxi or shuttle service between local villages

    8ThomasPosted on: 8-16-2024

Well maintained hotel with lovely staff

First room we were given was continuously noisy due to A/C duct above ceiling and despite being initially told there was no other room available, we were offered a change of room, which was perfect

everything was excellent just as usual. This time I also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The sea-bass filet in saffron sauce was exquisite.

We loved our stay at the hotel again. The restaurant is lovely with an excellent menu. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The beds are comfortable and the hotel has plenty of parking. The breakfast is among the best we have ever had on our travels and we hope to be back again.

Such a great place. A really nice hotel, easy access, lot of parking places. The room is really good and very clean. And the breakfast is wonderful. I'd like to emphasis the service, all people was really great, very professional and kind.

nothing special, except the wifi connection a bit low sometimes, i imagine it depends on the distance your room is from the router.

Nice and friendly staff! Great food in the restaurant! And Verry verry good breakfast!!!best we ever had! Verry happy with our stay! Would come again

Nothing bad! Only thing there isn't much right by the hotel. But it's fine.

    10GogolPosted on: 7-4-2024

The service at the reception on a very high level. Rooms very clean. Meals delicious. Very nice and calm area.

    9ThomasPosted on: 6-19-2024

The hotel has an excellent size, a huge parking space (free of charge), a very stylish interior and great spacious rooms. The bathroom also had a good size. The breakfast is excellent, high quality food - it was also possible to order eggs. Top quality.

The shower pressure could have been a bit stronger; the pillow was definitely too small and too hard.

    Great breakfast buffet

They’d forgotten to turn off the terrace music, so bit noisy in my room. Fortunately, they turned it off as soon as I enquired about it
