Castilla Termal Olmedo

Really relaxed but elegant and beautiful. The rooms are quiet and lovely. The robes and slippers were so nice. The staff were very welcoming and excellent.

After staying at Castilla Termal in Ribera (which was wonderful) we had high expectations which this one didn’t live up to. It feels like a normal average hotel once you are in and the service was not of the high calibre we experienced in Ribera. Eg Checking in was like any low to mid end hotel (compared to Ribera with glasses of cava while we checked in and very attentive staff). The room and the place is fine if you don’t have high end expectations.

EVENING MEAL WAS JUST 7 SLICES OF DUCK WITH NOTHING ELSE AND IT WAS COLD TOO EXPENSIVE AT 25 EUROS

The hotel is located near by industrial area, behind the hotel is a some fectory with unpleasant smell and a noise. Next to outdoor swimming poole was imposible to be becouse of huge amaunt of flies and finer smell in the air… I desided to have a masage, and it was a mistake, because it wasn’t even look like a masage… the lady only putted oil on me..

While you have to pay extra for both, I thoroughly enjoyed their indoor physical therapy and outdoor salt water pools very much, and the breakfast buffet is extensive. The beds are very comfortable.

To get a room with a walk-in shower, you have to upgrade from a standard room. We were in upgraded room 134 and the thermostats in the two rooms did not function correctly. I reported that the bedroom was hot, and they simply came and put the thermostat down to 5 degrees centigrade to moderately cool the room.

It was beautiful, relaxing, quiet, and very special. The rooms were large and lovely. The staff was great.

I would love to say something really positive but I can’t.

There were two long dark hairs in our our bed, unfortunately not discovered until after we had slept the night. My husband and I both have short fair hair. The little plant in the pot which holds the room service barcode had not been watered for a long time and it was dying. I gave it some water, but I fear it was only a temporary reprieve. We thought it pointless to complain as we had only booked one night. The dining experience is extremely disappointing with bright lighting, much like a school dining room, absolutely no atmosphere at all and staff (particularly the young man ) who can barely contain their boredom. The young man in the spa was similarly disengaged. and restaurants were disengaged on the whole. We had stayed at another Castillo the evening before which was superb in every way and less expensive. This one was sadly in need of some TLC and some better staff training.

Nice (quite small) water circuit. Very clean rooms and facilities. Nice personnel.

To use Sauna or Steam you need to pay extra as part of a pools path, even if you have access to the Spa in your booking. Small facilities require you to book in advance to your stay for Spa or pools. Be careful with this specially on long weekends.

It seemed a gorgeous place.

We had to leave suddenly as my daughter was very unwell and there was no compensation at all.

Just driving into the Hotel was an instant pleasure. You just know you are going to really like your stay. Nothing afterwards contradicted it. The facilities and the standard of presentation of them is top class. We wished we had more time to have taken advantage of the Spa, it really was high class and very inviting. Reception were very helpful and explained where we could park and charge our car. Something more Hotels should take note of, a big plus these days.A nice enough restaurant and OK menu.Room was well appointed and very comfortable. Bathroom of a very high standard.

Would have liked a shaving socket in the bathroom but extremely minor point and only because I left our adapter behind.

Very good and comprehensive breakfast, nice and silent rooms, EV-charging free of charge (even it´s only domestic socket) available.

Superb termal and exterior pools.Building design and interior landscapes.Excellent gym amenities.

Exorbitant prices for food both in cafeteria and restaurant, given quality&quantity and menu options.

TV did not work, mini bar did not work with two bottles of hot water inside, no tea/coffee facilities, noisy air conditioner.

My stay was simply perfect and the team very friendly and helpful. Delicious food (breakfast and restaurant). Highly recommended
