Oxigén Family Hotel Noszvaj

Not worth the money

Unfortunately this stay was far from what we’ve expected. It’s definitely not a 4 star hotel. Bear in mind that there was no water in the room, no proper toiletries. Although our room was pretty clean we found at least 6 ants there. Food was average, lot of things were semi product,drinks were not included not even plain water. There were some yogurts and fruits for kids available but nothing else. Kids pools were dirty. There was too cold in the corridors.It is presented as a family friendly hotel but there are stairs everywhere.. when you have to have stroller for your child then good luck. There was only one slow elevator. Staff spoke English only very little. They couldn’t explain anything. Sadly I have to say it was not worth the money. My kids and I came home with a cold.

The hotel offers a lot if you travel with children, a lot of extras that in other hotels cost plenty. The sauna personnel were very cool, very helpful.The hotel is next to a village (Noszvaj), that is famous for having the cleanest air in Hungary. Neighbouring the hotel there is a riding hall, where even small kids can ride (mini) horses.

If you travel with a larger company, it's a little hard to find a table for all as pre-booking is not allowed.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, great food (including good options for children), comfy bed, steam bath and the cold pool, quiet night hours, surprise visit of the dragon at breakfast :)

The whole place is a bit worn (some broken toys in the garden, some facilities are not available for use, only one of the “jacuzzis” seem to work and only with one program), the only elevator is very slow, you can hear your neighbors through the walls and the double door between the rooms, and every step through the ceiling and the corridors).

We loved the animators and the kid programs. Breakfast and dinner buffets were nice. The spa is well equipped.

The style and the quality of the room was excellent. The restaurant was very good, there was a wide selection of food.

The outside of the hotel is neglected, you can feel the lack of staff.

Brakfast is excellent, location also good, we were not fortunate with the weather, therefore we spent the whole day in the hotel... but this is not the hotel's fault :)

Furniture in the reastaurant is not as good as it could be...

The environment was really beautiful. The wellness thematic was creative. Outdoor facilities were cool. The meals were good.

It was unusual that in our room the bathroom didn't contain any mirror and normal washbasin. These were just right next to the bed.The restaurant was quite crowded with guest even on weekdays.

We spent a weekend there with our 4 monts old baby and the facilities exceeded our expectations - the spa was absolutely baby friendly with baby pool and sauna as of 3 months; the play room had toys for him and the room was well equipped.

We liked everything :)

Our stay with 2 children was great! The staff is kind, the animators were super and did an amazing job, the food was delicious! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definitely be returning.

The hotel and wellness do require a slight renovation/changing of older stuff. Over a period of time, things do get worn down.

The location is exceptional, in the middle of the nature. The staff is very lovely.

Unfortunately a poor price/value, modestly equipped, under our expectations.

Beautiful location, good facilities, nice staff, very good food.

Lots of great activity for children.Food is extremely good, restaurant quality.Location is great.

Minor things: breakfast starts a bit late (07.30), small children usually wake up earlier.Family rooms are a bit small.

The hotel is a renewed old manor located at the end of a small hill surrounded by trees. It is very focused on families with children and fully prepared for it. The room has a fair size with everything you need for a small child ( baby bathtub, crib, bottle warmer). The child room had plenty of toys and the wellness area had 2 swimming pools for children and water toys. The food was excellent and had a huge variety; it had free children menus for lunch and at dinner there was a dinosaur (the hotel's mascot) that walked around and greet the children (they loved it).

The bathroom could be bigger, but this is an insignificant detail when compared to the rest.The hotel only has 1 elevator, which is not enough at "rush hour". Luckily my room was on the ground floor :)

All in all it was good, breakfast and dinner is colorful and you always find something to eat. Don't recommend the hotel for couples, for that there are to many kids.

The water in our shower was not warm at all, we asked the staff at least two times to send someone to check the issue but they didn't find anything. In case you are thinking of having a warm shower forget it. And one other thing pls upgrade the TV from the room we are not in 2010.

The food and the wellness are exceptional.

The walls are thin, and you can hear the washing machines during the night. Also the heaters make a ticking noise - hence sleeping is difficult.

Very kind personal, beautiful location if you’re a nature lover and the hotel is more than ready to welcome kids at any age.

The quality of the food in the restaurant is rather medium and the interior of the restaurant/bar and the SPA is due for a refreshing restoration.

Beautiful location, fun programs for the kids, nice and professional staff, various fun playgrounds, toys, kid friendly pools. Also several Options for the parents to relax. Nice and clean rooms.

The bed was too hard for me, but I solved it by spreading my blanket on the matress.
