Hotel Rural Xerete

There was a happy atmosphere and it is in a beautiful location.

We were disappointed that the dinner consisted of snack food only. Unfortunately the pool was not open as it was too early in the season.

A simple good size comfortable room with a very nice en-suite shower room and loo There was a little terrace and lovely views of the large garden. The pool was a good size; from memory maybe 20 metres, and plenty of sun loungers, table and chairs. Also, plenty of parking space. Breakfast was plentiful and, great to have gluten free cereal - thank you Ana!

This property exceeded our expectations. The swimming pool was generous in size, regularly cleaned and open much earlier than most pools in Spain. The garden was verdant, with many birds singing beautifully. Our host, Anna, seemed to always be available and very happy to help out with the smallest thing - and so friendly and kind! We were delighted to be in the countryside among the cherry orchards of the Jerte Valley (and just far enough from the relatively quiet road that the occasional traffic noise sunk into the background on the whole). The breakfasts were pleasant and varied each day with different types of fruit and cakes/croissants plus fresh orange juice, meats, cheese, toast, coffee - all beautifully and quickly presented. We also had dinner there on a couple of occasions - the food was also excellent and very filling with three courses at a very reasonable price. The wine was excellent. The room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden, the beds comfortable and everything very clean. The hot water took quite a bit of time to come through, so leave the shower running for a couple of minutes to get nice warm water. Coffee/tea-making facilities in the room would have been nice but Anna provided whenever asked at no extra charge, which was fabulous. This location is suitable for those looking for a quiet and beautiful retreat, not close to nightlife or town (20 mins drive) - this suited us perfectly but best to be aware of this.

Highly recommended.We are an English family and it was exceptional ! The rooms were very clean and cosy. The surrounding area is beautiful with a lovely swimming pool to enjoy.Lovely Breakfast and hospitality
