The venue is nice, the interior and furniture are authentic and the staff is indeed friendly. There were a few guests only and hence the wellness was very convenient despite the fact that it is not too big. Good service overall.

We would have expected better food quality for this price. They also charge extra beyond the price of the full board for better meals and the meals included were rather simple. And when I say "better meals" it still refers to standard quality, not a Michelin style food. Also the menu is short for a longer stay. The breakfast offering was very simple and as much as I can tell they served leftovers from previous days. Coffee is cold and terrible from a machine.Thanks to the season and the weather we kept the windows closed, but during warm periods I would say the constant noise from the nearby highway would be a bit inconvenient with open windows. Depending on the room location some may also find the humming of the SPA machinery loud during the nights.

Not a Castle but rather a lovely old manor house. Not coffee or tea in the rooms. Two suite was huge but not well appointed.

Gorgeous Castle hotel, just like on the photos. The rooms are clean, beautifully furnished and comfortable. The View is gorgeous, the garden is very well maintained. The wellness facility is clean. The kitchen is superb. Excellent meal choices. Great location, easy access to Vienna or the nearby famous tourist locations.

I didn't like that I could not stay longer.

Breakfast was good but fresh squeezed orange juice would have been better at the price. We had lunch and food was beyond good it was exceptional. The staff were excellent friendly and attentive. The ambience and the peacefulness was wonderful.

No tea/coffee facility in the room was a pity. No welcome fruit bowl. Room was nice but obviously created a long time ago and needs being made contemporary not like a time capsule from the 80s or 90s. There was no way we could get good airflow without leaving ourselves exposed to passers by and reducing our security. Garden was lovely but not maintained by a Gardner. Lots of roses but hardly any blooms because they had not been dead headed.

Nice chateau with amazing garden, the rooms have seen better days, but comfortable. The common places and rooms beautiful, the breakfast was very good.

Rooms can get a little hot during the day but cools down a little bit during the night.

The walls in our room were a little bit too thin so we could hear the room neighbours talking at night.

Exceptioanlly friendly staff, most of which also speaks German. The location is easy to find in the ablsolutely quiet periphery of Sopron/Ödenburg. The atmosphere is fantastic if you like 18th century architecture and interieur. Very good breakfast buffet and dinner is fantastic and reasonably priced, occasionally even with genuine hungarian live music. The wellness area offers a swimming pool of decent size, mixed sex IR cabins, sauna, and hamam and also massages of various kinds. the vast castle garde invites for extended walks. Food and beverages are also available in the wellness area. The hotel offers room service. In contrast to almost all other hotels I've visited you are not treated like a potential fraud. There is no prepayment required for anything. Everything can be billed to the room and payed at check-out; flowers and champagne as a surprise for my spouse, room service, restaurant, food and beverages in the wellness area and even massage treatments.

The pool includes a "whirlpool" area, but the water nozzles are fixed in a location that doesn't offer any massaging effect. In fact that part of the pool gets a little discomforting after a few minutes.

Beautiful castle with nice sauna and spa! Great sport possibilities with tennis, basketball, work out room, table tennis etc. Gorgeous and huge garden! Very special location! We enjoyed it a lot!

The place is amazing, a historical palace, gardens. The staff was very professional, fantastic food priced reasonably. Great indoor pool, parking, great breakfast.

The room we got had no A/C, they provided us with ventilators. The little discomfort with the heat was offset with the great atmosphere and good quality attention of the staff.

The hotel is a very luxurious and elegant facility. Although our room was not in the main building it was nice and clean. We enjoyed the wellness centre with indoor pool and sauna. The surrounding park is also beautiful. Definitely we recommend it for others, it will be a memorable stay at this hotel.

Very nice place, you get the feeling of living in historic times. Great garden, nice spa and saunas. Great food.

The room had a small window that was so high that we could not see anything outside. We were not warned about that. At the checkout - at 10.00, I asked if I could use the pool as long as we were waiting for the lunch... I was told I had to pay 50 Euro to use the facilities after the check-out per person!!. Needless to say that we left and obviously we did not stay for the lunch. Their loss, I guess.

Very friendful staff, excelent breakfast, nice and clean rooms, great outdoor space. We will return for sure!

Such a beautiful place, we prolonged our stay there, and will come again. Large and stylishly decorated rooms, nice park to go for a stroll in, huge and comfortable wellness area, perfect service, gourmet food and wines. We felt welcome and at home.
