Hotel Knaus am Hafen

This old and outdated hotel has a good location.

There was nothing we liked. It was like staying in a 1960s "no-tell" motel but at Ritz Carlton pricing. Everything was dark and dirty. The shower did not close properly and the floor flooded. There were not enough towels and those provided were thin and small. The bedding was old and the bedspreads old and dirty. The breakfast was not very good, not much variety and the quality of the food was poor compared to other stays around the Bodensee. On top of that, staff hovered over people while taking food from the buffet as if they were worried guests would take too many slices of lunch meat...it was very uncomfortable! I cannot recommend this hotel unless you need a film set for a hotel from the past.

The rooms were beautiful, very clean and comfortable. This was such an excellent, friendly hotel that we decided to stay for an additional night. Luckily one room was available. Staff transferred all our baggage from our original room to the one night room, which was of an excellent standard too.I must commend and thank the staff who helped me following a fall I experienced (probably sunstroke or heatstroke).The breakfast was outstanding. Thank you!

A lift.

It is in a nice village close to the lake beaches and centre square with restaurants and terraces. Rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. Toilet separated from the bathroom. Great breakfast, even if you arrive late. Staff was very friendly and helpful with a lot of good tips. Great for trips by bicycle, walking or by boat to many places of interest

The rooms was rather small. Shower in the bath. It was pretty warm outside, but the room was difficult to get a bit cooler, even with the window open.

Location close to the shore is just perfect. Staff was very nice and attentive. Apartment is pretty spacious and clean. Kitchen is small but definitely sufficient for a short stay. Breakfast was basic but still delicious and sufficient. Bar and parking lot was a nice added bonus.

Such a hot and humid environment requires an aircon to sleep/feel comfortable. Portable fans provided in the rooms are a nuisance... Sleeping without them is impossible and sleeping with them is a challenge because of their noise.

Room compact, as was bathroom, but had everything we needed. Perfect location on the marina with some excellent local restaurants and bars within minutes walking distance.Breakfast was excellent.

Parts of the hotel (bar, restaurant) appeared to be closed, not sure what the situation was.

Great location. Very quiet. Beautiful scenery. Breakfast was fantastic. No complaints.

The location is amazing. Next to the lake, next to cycling path, next to public transport (bus). Quiet.Parklot for cars and bicycles. Excellent breakfast. The owner and his wife are very welcoming and helpful, are always ready to give you any information you may need ; an excellent welcome.

The room and the bathroom are quite small. But we did not spend so much time in there...

Friendly traditional German hotel in a superb location. Had a one bedroom apartment with a balcony. It was dated but clean with minimum cooking facilities but enough for our stay. Good breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Rooms were very clean and spacy. Breakfast was great, staff super friendly and very helpful. Location is very close to lake, beach and harbour.

Wifi, it was very slow and connection dropped constantly.

Excellent breakfast with good Covid-precautions (e.g. guests wear masks & gloves). Good location close to the water & parks. Nice balcony although we did not use it. Friendly staff.

We were asked to pay the full amount two weeks before arriving (all other hotels asked for payment upon arrival or after the stay). The rooms were very small for the price.

The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. The location was very nice as it was only 10 seconds away from the water. Also it was perfect for access to the various water boats and shuttles which can transport you anywhere else on the lake.

Fabulous location, friendly staff, clean rooms.

Room quite small, parking lots in the back of the parking place were too tight so we had to leave the car on the street at night. Breakfast room feels old and worn. Quite expensive for what you get.

The room was perfect! We were meeting our family and we had plenty of space and were so comfortable. The staff was incredible! Our dogs were welcome! The staff assisted us with any question or need that came up. Simply amazing!

Great place in 5 minutes walk from Hafen.
