The location

No air conditioning. There is no reception after 7 pm. Smoke alarms kept beeping during the night. Matress too soft. Shower leaked.

Very clean comfortable hotel. Only stayed one night as it was on route to our next destination. Great breakfast.

We could bring our dog. Reception staff was friendly. They offered a lot of extras, which we didn't use ( bicycles, outdoor tables...)

The room was dated, so was the bathroom, but it was clean and tidy. The balcony was nice, but obviously the other guests booked a balcony room to be able to smoke. So we got the smoke smells through the window, which was unpleasant.

Had both a good and bad staff encounter. Restaurant staff was nice as well as approachable.

Young helper at desk was busy on phone as we tried to check out. Was rather challenging. Otherwise o thiught staff was friendly and helpful

The hotel itself is nice in terms of the facilities. The location is ok and not too far from the sights, activities and the lake. The breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about. The room and the bathroom are nicely laid out and clean.

The booking experience has been nothing short of dreadful. The property, by their own admission, cannot guarantee anything on pre-paid bookings via booking.com. This not only includes a parking space but also the type or the layout of the room you book even though it's already been paid for. For example, by their own admission, the hotel has only one (1) standard twin room with balcony. Therefore, realistically, if you book a standard twin room with a balcony, you won't get it.I had booked a standard twin room. At first, the property denied having twin standard rooms at all even though it is advertised (see attached). When I enquired further, they then admitted that there is only one (1) standard twin room. Upon arrival I reminded my room choice but, I was patronised and chided by the manager and was forced to upgrade to a superior room if I wanted a twin room. This was the only option I was left with. I was travelling with my 82 year old mum.During the interaction I was again spoken down to and was told to have booked direct with the hotel, which shows that the property prioritises their direct booking customers. The tone I was spoken to was very rude and belittling which was completely unnecessary. You can see the tone of the manager attached. Not having enough of an advertised service at the advertised price is illegal in Germany. It's called "bait and switch". The rooms have no air conditioning but our room had a ceiling fan. There are no tea/coffee making facilities or fridges in the rooms.WiFi is temperamental and clocks at 28mps max speed.At checkout, we were charged one day more than we stayed for the city tax (kur taxe) allegedly accidentally (even though I tried to warn them before charging my card). We were told that we'd be refunded but I have no hope. In short, I would not recommend booking unless you're happy to go with what you are given by the property no matter what you paid for.

Rooms are spacious and clean, bright, renovated. Breakfast is very delicious and you really have a very big choice. Parking is big enough for everyone, proximity to Bodensee is a plus.

The location of the hotel was in close proximity to area attractions. The staff was very kind and our room was clean and simple with a small bathroom. An amazing breakfast buffer was available for purchase. They even had gluten free rolls ready for me each morning. Truly exceptional! We also enjoyed the fresh apples and pears from the region that were made available upon check in.

It would have been nice if there were washcloths and USB charging ports. There was an additional tourist tax which was confusing as we thought the price on booking included all taxes and fees. It was also not clear that the breakfast was an additional charge. The hotel description needs to be refined.

The hotel is very nice and clean, and located in a quite area near Salem, where we travelled for a concert and decided to spend one night in the neighbourhood.

Having a car or a bike might be essential in that area to move around. We really needed to use bikes and I asked to reserve those in advance over the phone. When we arrived to the hotel, we were offered to use two quite broken ones, which could hardly be used (the seats could not be adjusted or fixed in one position). Luckily, I managed to fix one myself and someone returned a good bike I could use. On the other hand, they were free, and it was very nice we had this option, but I would rather pay to be on the safe side.

Reluctant staff, ordered a room with separate beds. We got a married one. The staff said it was not his fault!!! Double bed small!The room was small and modest, only one chair in the room, there was nowhere to sit!500euro for two nights in low season, I would imagine another level§Breakfast poor, coffee disgusting, food average. Closed restaurant, without prior information.I forgot my headphones at the hotel - they said they were found! I submitted the information immediately after departure.This hotel never again!

We arrived after after 6:00PM but our room was not tidied yet when I asked the receptionist she said that they have too many check in/outs on that day and that's why our room wasn't cleaned up.The breakfast for 12 euros is bot really worth it. The omlette wasn't fresh.

Comfortable room, spacious, quiet.

Room was advertised to include ‘balcony’ in the title as well as the small print. Did not look anything like the pictures in my booking. No balcony but rather a scenic view of the garbage receptacles. No response to message requesting information prior to visiting. Not very friendly reception.
