Pros +
- It's in a quiet town which has a pleasant ambience and welcoming people. The room was perfectly comfortable and there is a lift which is a bonus for me. We had difficulty finding the property because the address post code puts the sat nav at the cafe/restaurant owned by the hotel but everyone was helpful getting us in the right place. Breakfast was fine and we had a nice dinner in the restaurant.
- Comfortable place to stay.Beautiful surrounding.Safe and clean.Delicious restaurant.Very nice hospitality. We really enjoyed and extended an extra night..
- Very spacious room in a good location. Fast internet. Close to their bar and restaurant which had good food. The lift was great with our heavy luggage.
Cons -
- Having to go from the hotel to the cafe/restaurant in the village for dinner and breakfast. It was raining at dinner time so we had to drive if we didn[t want to get wet! However the young man who seems to run the hotel on his own explained that in a few weeks' time there will be a restaurant in the hotel.
- Lacked a kettle for tea or coffee
- No complaints.

Very nice. Clean. Stayed here as it was close to the Portugal border. The owners are very friendly. The bar/restaurant down the street are the same company. Family. They are super friendly and we had nice conversations .
No complaints.
Great place for a short stay in the region. Not far from a main road but absolutely quite. Very friendly owner. The family owns a nice restaurant in walking distance (200m). Everything was fine
good value well located hotel. The room was comfortable and well equipped and the local restaurant, run by the same people, although didn’t look at all appealing when closed was buzzing on a Friday night and served excellent food. The beach on the lake wasn’t at all busy either and great for an evening swim.
Brilliant location, lovely staff, spotlessly clean and beautiful restaurant a few hundred meters from the hotel.
Good size room and easy parking.
Having to wait to check in after phoning.
Personalized service. Courtesy.
No 24 hour concierge .
The location in the western part of the Zamora region (towards Portugal) is really fantastic for people who love nature and wildlife. It is a primarily rural area, with Zamora as the main city. The hotel is located about 25km west to Zamora. We visited a number of photo-hides to photograph various birds among which the famous golden eagle and a pair of the marvelous Bonelli's eagle. Each of them provided a great show at a close distance in the shelter of the hides, it is really fantastic to observe these predators at the top of the food chain in wildlife. The hotel is located in Ricobayo, which is a cosy little village in a rural area. The hotel has a separate restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The hosts of the hotel, Miguel and his wife together with Miguel's father, were very friendly and helpful. We had many enthousiastic discussions about wildlife in the area. We really felt at home in this hotel, thanks to the great hospitality of the hosts. We can strongly recommend this hotel for people who want to explore nature and wildlife in this remote area of Spain not that far from the Spanish border. It is close to the longest canyon in Europe, right at the border between Portugal and Spain. You can make a boat trip through the canyon on an electricity powered boat. For people who also love culture, you can visit the city of Salamanca which is 1h drive to the south, between Zamora and Extremadura. Also, you can make a short visit to Portugal within less than 1h drive.

The breakfast was in a restaurant about 200 meters from the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, the door to the hotel was locked and I had to call the owner, but he arrived very quickly
