Wellness Hotel Montis

The hotel offers a relaxing getaway in the mountains. The staff are very friendly, breakfast is excellent, sauna is included in the price. I think with a half-board it's a good value for money.

Visitors of the sauna apparently do not know the sauna etiquette (eg. about using the towels, not using the swimsuits, about being silent/considerate of others ...) - I guess they would benefit from clearer instructions by staff members.

Location is great if you arrive for skiing. Breakfast is dinner are quite ok.

It’s rather a 3 star facility, it probably was OK when it opened but since then no maintenance of the quality. Lack of paying attention to details by the staff resulted a bad experience: odours in the bathroom, stains on the carpet, lack of attention during dinner when you want to order something etc.

Great location and very good wellness.

Cleanness could be better. Reception stuff could use a smile when talking to customers.

It was great, we loved the wellness.

However I have requested some additional vegan dishes and I got answer by email that they ensure me about extra vegan options.There was nothing on the food-line at the first night. Well, I am still waiting for the dinner what the receptionist promised me at that first night. LOLLater I found some food, but it was way below my expectations. Additionally, it should be written by items if it's vegetarian or vegan.

Cozy atmosphere, great staff, great environment... People looked happy and relaxed, but still service was great. Food as well.

Hotel (apartment) difficult access for families with small children...the elevator does not work, the stairs to the apartment are frozen... The staff at the reception are lost, they don't know how to explain anything. The gondola supposedly runs every half hour, and when we went it ran every hour, crowded, everyone except hotel (apartment) guests have priority. The food is terrible!

High pet taxes, not pet friendly!

Not pet friendly at all! We had 2 Pomeranians (2kg each) kept in their enclosure always while in the apartment, as soon as we left them play in with us, they had their bellybend to ensure they won't pee around. They never checked the apartment to see if it was dirty and instead made us pay 30 Euros for each dog! 60 euros no matter if we staid 2-3 nights and if they really had to do deeper cleaning! We arrived Friday night, spent Saturday and Sunday full days in European dog show so stay in apartment just for sleep.. really really disappointed and nobody advised us about such a price earlier! We will never go again. We had respect for the structure and left all clean as we used to do, they had no respect for us making us pay taxes we were not informed. We were ready to pay an additional price for dogs as many ask hotels asks (about 5 euros for each dog per night) but 60euros are absurd.

No sound-proofing between the rooms. Very weak shower strength. Uncomfortable pillows. Hard to manage overheating. Mediocre breakfast, awful dinner (reasonably priced though))Car charger squeezed between trash containers and not working most of the time…Difficult to find as Google suggests only unpaved roads and the only paved one is quite narrow and not very well kept ((

We made our arrival after five in the afternoon me my wife and my child showed up at the reception We waited for them to give us the key of the room we have booked they give us the key After some minutes we go to the room carrying our suitcase and all our things we open the room and The room was occupied by other people on the second attempt to give us a room they gave us a dirty gross floor with blood on the blankets. So at that moment we realized that this hotel is not safe they don't know what is happening to them they are giving other rooms instead of other rooms for people to come in and it is a very dirty hotel and they still haven't refunded our money from our reservation

Staff was very friendly and understanding. They tried to offer help due to our disapointment but was not an option anymore to stay. They did offer us a refund for the remaining nights, which we did appreciate very much. Location is amazing and the walks and views from there are really nice.

They were very understaffed, rooms were not very clean but were decent enough, with most commodities. They advertised multiple commodities that were not there: electric kettle, fan, slippers, drying rack for clothing, sofa bed or toiletries(in theory removed now from booking.com). Service was very friendly, but highly inefficient in the restaurant: tables not cleaned even when you sit down, food was cold. You pay 42 € for 2 people per night for dinner, but it was honestly horrible quality and no variety whatsoever.

Big, spacious apartment just across the ski trails. 3 big bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and large living room.Friendly staff to help you with everything.

If you’re with car, you may have trouble to find parking spot at the hotel. And there are a few stairs to get to your apartment.

the staff was very friendly. The reception guy was also very helpful in everything, we could not find the way to the hotel and he really tried support to find the way.

The location. google maps sent us with car via ways where we almost stuck, had tot turn around and ask hotel's help to find the right way.

It's not a wellness hotel in my opinion if you have to pay extra for the wellness area AND because almost every sauna + whirlpool didn't work.

Just the top hill view

It's impossible to reach by road due to floods and the damage and there is no advisement prior to booking. It was a 2 and a half hour climb through dark forest, dirt roads and no signs. Incredible. Never again

The rooms were clean.

We booked 2 double rooms for 4 person. Booking.com wrote that the hotel is arount 22 km from our location. The price for double room was near 82 Euros. When I booked the rooms distance was set to 43 km. As we couldn't take our money we desided to go there. In the middle of the road we found that the road is closed due to big floods in Slovenia few months ago. Than we've lost 2 hours to find different open roads to find the hotel. On reception we were told that the price is for one person instead it is for a double room. Oh, and because of the late hour 22.00 the restaurant was not working. We are very disapponted.

Location

New rules about wellness facilities not being included in the price of the room. No buffet dinner, only two meals to choose from and they are served to you. Breakfast buffet very modest as well with no refills, so make sure to get to the restaurant early.Evident lack of staff.Considering we used to be very satisfied stating in this hotel, I assume there has been a change in management or similar because the service and facilities are now on a much lower level.

We arrived very late to the hotel, it was very windy and foggy - quite challenging to drive. Check in process was very simple and easy, the staff was very friendly and we were in our room in less than 5 minutes. The room was beautiful, very clean. Breakfast was very nice, with a nice selection of food.

Explanations of how to reach the hotel were a little bit confusing. Also messages and instruction received from the hotel were confusing. But at the end we made it, not a big issue.
