- Great breakfast and nice friendly hotel. Loads of nick nags. Nice village.
- Great stopover enroute to Portugal. Staff spoke great English. Very friendly. Free tea and coffee on offer freely available. Spotless room. Ate a nice meal at the restaurant opposite owned by the hotel. Nice little place perfect to explore. We had a very pleasant walk up to the castle ruins that overlook the town. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful.
- The hotel was lovely. Access from motorway to village good for our stopover on our way to Santander.
Cons -
- No a.con. or fans. Had 2 carry my dog up 3 flights of stairs no lifts. She is a golden retirere. Lol.
- Nothing all good.
- The village does have everything for locals, but only one restaurant very expensive which had just closed when we got there but was reopening later in the evening. We found a local bar but no food so the supermarket opened at 6 pm went there for bread and cheese etc.

Last minute booking, staff were great nothing was too much trouble. Restaurant accross the road (part of the hotel) servered superb local food & wine at bargin prices. Easy to park outside the door.
Family run and extremely dog friendly. We stay there twice a year on our way to the ferry at Santander and always receive a warm welcome. The restaurant opposite us also run by the family and the food is excellent. On the evenings that the restaurant isn’t open, dinner is provided in the hotel. The village goes back to Medieval times and is worth a visit in its own right.
All good
Very warm welcome from the team , really comfy big bed and so peaceful - no street or road noise even with the window open. Parking was on street but we found a space right outside the hotel. We had an evening meal and breakfast both of which were very tasty and good value.
Beautiful decor, cosy and homely feel. The staff were all wonderful, really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I came down to dinner late and would have understood if they said dinner wasn’t possible. Instead they went out of their way to prepare something for me. I had dinner and breakfast - both cooked in front of me and delicious. My room was fabulous, a HUGE bed! Everything was so clean too. Highly recommended.
Excellent, warm, helpful staff, lots of relevant information given. Very good food at family restaurant opposite. Free parking that felt safe on street outside. Comfortable beds and rooms. English spoken if needed. Covienient for motorway to Santander, around 2 hour trip.
It was all good.
Lovely clean hotel in a rural village - perfect for our overnight stop. Beatriz was very accommodating and had excellent English. Fab “honesty bar” in the garden.
All fab
Everything else. Charming, clean, friendly, dog welcoming hotel.
No off street secure parking.
Overall very comfortable stay, good food, good beds. some rooms are more spacious than others.
Top room in attic was a little cramped but adequate.
A very different hotel experience than usual. Homely surroundings, with an honesty bar and home-cooked food prepared and served in a kitchen-cum-dining room. Excellent value and perfect for a one-night stopover.
Very helpful and happy hostess and excellent food and service with a smile.
Beautiful light airy accommodation - stylish and warm. The host even did our washing for us as we were cycling.
Breakfast was great and we were asked whether we wanted more. Great coffee.

I already knew and liked this hotel as a stop-off before getting the Santander ferry. I'd forgotten the lovely small touches though- kettles on the stairwell, extremely cute decor, general friendliness.
We need an overnight stop on our way from the south to the north of Spain. The hotel is well situated with easy access a couple of minutes off the A67 motorway. We stopped overnight earlier in the year and had a very warm welcome. It’s a family run hotel and the owners are hands on and exceptional. It’s also extremely dog friendly which is why we chose it in the first place. The little village if Monzón de Campos is very old and picturesque and well worth a look around.
We got a nice cheerful welcome from Beatrice. There was use of a kettle and parking right outside with a restaurant opposite. So we had everything we needed. It's great for a 1 night stopover and the bed was comfortable. And we were in Room 101
Everything was fine, but didn't find the restaurant good value like others have said. I was pretty sure the starter we shared said E13 but we were billed 18 for it. It was good but not cheap.
Breakfast was good. Staff were lovely.
Room was small and very hot even though cool weather outside.
The owner Bea, was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. The evening meal was lovely.
