In Monterosso Al Mare, Hotel Palme is a 2-minute walk from the public beach and Monterosso Train Station, which services other villages in the Cinque Terre. The Palme Hotel gets its name from the palm trees in its garden. It also features a lounge bar and TV room. Wi-Fi access is available in common areas and there is also a computer in the lobby. Rooms are air-conditioned and feature satellite TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries. The buffet breakfast includes packaged snacks, cold meats, cheese and boiled eggs. From Monterosso you can catch a ferry or train to destinations such as Portofino, Lerici or La Spezia. You can also go hiking in the Cinque Terre National Park.

Pros +

It was close to the beach, clean and the staff were friendly
Location was the only thing I like the most.
It's location was great! 5-minute walk to the train station and a block or two away from the beach and good restaurants.

Cons -

Breakfast, you have to boil you own eggs and it takes over 15min, I do like eating eggs in the morning which is obvious but its better is the served already made. Also they need more than 3 pancakes for the whole Hotel.
Bathroom was a little small and cramped. Bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were starchy.
