    Pros +

    • A place to recover and disconnect in style, food is excellent, breakfast has all you need and stays open till late, checkout passed midday, the water facilities will help you release stress and get rid of muscle pain, and all of this with smiling employees who are proud to be part of this historical site.
    • The hotel was excellent including the buffet and of course their spa. The buffet had a lot of options, including warm main courses. I will definitely come back.
    • Buffet was good, drinks. Spa facilities.

    Cons -

    • Still haven't found anything I did not like...
    • My only negative comment is that the staff in the buffet was a little bit disorganised
    • They did not provide much information about all facilities and where to get mineral water. Outdated room. Need renovation.

The facilities and spa are very good. It is in a rural place and only limited bus network from Vigo. The food open court was very nice though and lovely food.

The main difficulty was Reception staff did not speak English and did not think knowing or advising on bus connections was part of their customer care, also I spent a month asking to book spa times but was advised via booking.com chat to call the hotel, when I tried calling from abroad several times they could not speak English and just hanged up. After my complain to Booking team they made an effort and sent me a link which only worked on smart phones. There is no kettle in the room, which is not common in the hotels of this level, tea and coffees are not served in the restraurant dinners and only in the bar, which is inconvenient.

The spa, albeit a bit dated and in need of some improvements, was very nice for the money we paid. Especially the outdoor area. The breakfast was good and varied as well. The shared spaces are very nice. Walking through the ground of where the old spa used to be was really lovely. Don't miss the fountain next to the Palacio del Agua, we know it is there but you may not know as no one tells you...

The rooms are plain and lack a minimum of decoration. We had 2 rooms and one was much cosier than the other. A couple of frames on the wall would make a difference. A bouquet of dried flowers/plants... It's obvious that the hotel is dated but some minor changes could make it nicer. Bare walls made the room a cold place to be, felt a bit like a retirement home, despite very nice curtains (the only nice feature of the rooms). That said, for the price we paid, including breakfast and spa access: it was really good value for money. We might prefer a different spa in the region next time though...

The location and the termal circuit were amazing. The staff is really friendly.

Some places are in a need of urgent renovation. To have visible rotten wood just shows lack of caring. Also the dinner buffet was not worth the price paid.

Nothing Except Spa access and Morning buffet breakfast.

Rooms were in very bad condition also AC was not working properly Couldn’t sleep whole night …

    spa is ok

our room was extremely hot. maybe something was broken, but it was around 30 degrees during the night. outside it was raining, around 20. I didn’t sleep all night, it was complete disaster. overall impression was ruined. the room was pretty old, though clean

The water spa is very nice and the location and overall property is beautiful

    The hotel needs a facelift

The facilities are amazing. Nice breakfast

The restaurant is a bit pricey. And the hairdryer in the bedroom is useless.

The staff were professional and attentive. The treatments in the spa are great and so is the staff. Some of its old restored buildings are magnificent. The area is beautiful for a walk by the river for example.

It would have been good that the room cleaning had the time to make the beds with a blanket during the winter months. Also, given the average age of the guests (especially on weekdays) I'd strongly suggest a magnifying mirror in the bathroom, it's not a big ask for a 4 star hotel.

The professional staff, the quiet nice size room with extra table and chair, the delicious meals with excellent service. The Palacio de Agua is amazing and I had one of the best massages of my life with Rocio.

I missed the main dining room which is being rennovated. During our prior 3 visits we were offered a glass of wine with lunch and dinner, but this visit we had to order a full bottle as an extra. Also when we booked, we didn't realize that the Palacio de Agua would not open in the mornings! One last thing, I love the richness of being in a 150 year old historic site, but I think there needs to be more upkeep of the peeling walls in the hallways.

Food was excellent, staff also very nice. Room was spacious. Mattress very comfortable.

I would have liked a bottle of water an a box of tissues in the room, maybe another blanket. Very austere room. Also a modern shower would be a good idea.

    8MariaPosted on: 1-9-2023

outstanding building and water services and great service employed

staff at front desk seemed overall overworked, disorganized and sometimes rude.

    10AakashPosted on: 8-22-2022

Great property and amenities. Good size swimming pool (smaller.one for.kods as well). The water palace was really good which also had sauna and steam rooms. The buffer breakfast was very good. The check-in time at 14 and checkout at 12/120 were really good to have (unlike many hotels these days where check-in starts at 16 and then checkout before 11).

Everything was great.Only one complain would be that they should allow guests to also use the water palace before checkout as well -- it was only allowed to use the water palace for 2 hours in the day of stay and not again the next morning before check out.

All is Ok! I will recommend this hotel . Food quality really good & great staff

Wifi does not work correctly; there are not blinds so light enter into the room; maintenance is without any doubt the main improvement area

    10AnaPosted on: 5-29-2022

    large room

it has spots to be cleaned up,like pain falling off walls - quick property maintenance that would make it perfect

    10Julius_kaizerPosted on: 5-27-2022

The location is amazing and the staff is always there to help you out with a smile. Meals are very nice with lots of variety.

Some maintenance is due in the spa area.

    8JonPosted on: 2-7-2022

very clean, in a beautiful setting

a little chilly at times, especially when moving between the spa and other parts of the building

    8UnknownPosted on: 8-29-2021

Amazing place, although is starting to need fixing.

The hotel needs to fix a lot of things, maintaining things like the children place was closed, some of the palace de agua also weren't working or need fixing.
