Hotel Galaksija Trebnje

We had originally booked a different place, but it turned out to be a disaster. So, on our way back to France, we found Ökohotel by chance, and it completely saved our night.The location is perfect: quiet, surrounded by nature, and just a short drive from the highway, which made it ideal for a stopover. The hotel is beautifully designed, very clean, and the beds are incredibly comfy.After the stress of earlier, we slept here like nowhere else. It felt peaceful, safe, and deeply relaxing. We couldn’t have hoped for a better place to land.

A small value hotel close to Novo Mesto, in the vicinity of the main highway, excellent for an overnight stay. If your expectations are realistic (a place to sleep over and have some breakfast before moving on), it gets the job done perfectly. The bed is among the most comfortable I have ever tried in a hotel, and the breakfast is really great - the lady in charge appeared to bring over more and more food for us, and all was of great quality. She also responds to messages kindly and immediately and is very nice and hospitable overall. If you arrive later in the day or evening, and no one is at work in the hotel, expect a message with a code for the small lock next to the door in which you will find the entry card (works for the main enterance to the hotel and the room).

The bathroom is a bit smallish and very basic. The sound insulation is not perfect, so if you make noise, it is heard in other rooms, I think. There is little to do around the hotel, one gas station for some water (they didn't even have coffee :) and that's it. There is no elevator (though the entire hotel is really a bunch of rooms on the second floor; the first floor is reserved for a big restaurant, where they appear to organize big dinners for proms, weddings, etc).

It's a good hotel location if you stay for a night on the way. Friendly staff and fast service. In front of the hotel, there is a place where you can park your car for free. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning.

Our room had a strong, unpleasant odor in the bathroom that did not disappear after turning on the ventilation.

Hotel is in a trading state, factories all around. Very small window in room, not good if you are a patient of anxiety, feel suffocated.

The hotel was very nice and clean, the room very spacious and with everything we needed.

The mattress was too hard, but most of all the air conditioning was barely working... Definitely too old and the cold air too little for cooling down the room. The temperature outside was very high and it was difficult to sleep in such conditions

Great reception by the hosts. Great communication. Perfect for a night stop over if you are traveling through Slovenia. Very clean aswell.

We stayed at this hotel while transiting through Slovenia, on our way from Croatia to Lithuania, on our way back from holiday. No one met us because it was a public holiday in Slovenia on that day, and all check-in instructions were given to us via Booking.com and WhatsApp. But we didn't know that the hotel would be closed that day, so we were scared.Clean, not cramped, but very little comfort. No electric kettle, no plates and cups, very uncomfortable pillows.

The air conditioner was working very poorly, it was actually a fan. We had to sleep with the window open, and a lot of mosquitoes flew into the room and bit us.

Second time here and just as good as the first. Easy check-in and great value for money. Staff very friendly and breakfast good. Will come again.

Hot water takes a moment to arrive, but it gets there in the end - possibly because the hotel was quiet.

Self check in, very uncomplicated, very quiet (restaurant was closed), parking in front of house and could see car from my room, Internet OK, everything warm, and comfortable and clean, I slept better than in ages. Room also spacious, also desk.

Water in the shower was a bit coldish, and when Restaurant is closed, it would be nice to have an option to make tea /coffee, or warm a soup. Fridge a bit loud.

Big rooms, good beds, good water pressure in the shower, clean, plenty of parking, very nice and friendly staff.
