    Pros +

    • Relatively near to Obertauern.
    • Rooms are clean, they have a ski storage which was nice. Bakery is in the same building if you crave some carbs after a long day of skiing :)
    • Great location, very nice place and very, very nice owner and staff. The bakery as part of the hotel offers delicious homemade pastry.

    Cons -

    • - mold in shower- unbalanced hinging doors- poor breakfast selection- old and boring design, not authentic- strange room layout even in more expensive room (one room with a sofa another room with a bed)- zero online communication by hosts- no room service- no reception no guidance on where is what- haven't even tried spa
    • If you are on the first floor, above the restaurant and bakery, expect to be really noisy from an early morning (like 4-5am) + you could hear other guests talk in the rooms next door. Breakfast was described as "exceptional" which was very average and not that many options. If you are not speaking or at least understand any basic german, good luck getting all the necessary information from the receptionists.
    • The pillows are too soft. The hotel in general keeps very high temperatures so we had to air the rooms every now and then

Very good breakfast, nice stuff, large rooms, large wardrobe, many useful hooks

    Small and thin pillows

Very comfortable accommodation in the little picturesque town centre with provided parking for vehicles. The staff was friendly and kind, especially the lady in the morning during the breakfast. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was big. The sauna is a great addition (steam sauna and Finnish sauna). The town is close to the Obertauern ski resort (20 minutes drive) and Grosseck-Speiereck (10 minutes drive).

Friendly staff, clean and cosy, delicious breakfast.

Room was spacious and clean. Close to Village and Castle. Staff are kind. If they are not at the reception go to the Bakery.

It might be difficult to find a car park. We expected more from breakfast as they also have a Bakery.

We stayed only one night and continued the next day to our holiday. Breakfast was awesome (fresh bakery and pastry, delicious coffee and chocolate milk for kids), comfortable room, although the receptionist in the evening looked she was bothered by our questions (especially about closed sauna), the morning staff was great and very patient with our kidsLocation was very nice, the castle was open until late.

    Sauna was closed

lovely hosts, great location, very clean and quite spacious. great value for money

just a tiny comment: would be a great idea to include a kettle in the rooms, as it gets quite cold here during ski season and it would be nice to be able to drink some hot tea in the room

Perfect hotel for ski weekend with the family! We love that we can ski at Obertauern and then stay at the quieter and cuter town of Mauterndorf at Hotel Binggl. The husband and wife who run the hotel are so lovely and sweet! The breakfast is amazing (the jams are particularly delicious)!! Rooms are cozy and have everything you need. And don't forget to visit the attached bakery -- we always buy the Linzeraugen cookies as a post-ski treat. We started coming here 10 years ago when we lived in Austria for a couple years and now we are back and bring our kids!

Spacious rooms with lots of clothing space. For a longer stay this would be ideal, for 1 night certainly an overkill. Good breakfast.

The curtains didn't dim enough light. We were travelling with our baby so it was not ideal as it was too light in the room. How hard can it be to use blackout curtains?... The bakery is in the same location, so the person at the reception is sometimes absent as he's in the bakery shop and can take a while before he arrives. So be patient ?No airco which this hotel could use, the room was quite hot!

Nice room. Handy for Taurachbahn and bus stops. Fridge. Late check out.

    No Air Con

Everything was fine. The staff were flexible at check-in. Breakfast was delicious, the hotel is close to many ski resorts, we loved it.

    There was no such.

    10AnamarijaPosted on: 1-31-2022

The staff was really kind and polite. They greeted the guests every day at breakfast and checked if everything was okay. We arrived after the normal check-in time with no extra charge. The hotel is clean and quiet and the breakfast was delicious!

The room is not so bad but it requires maintenance. I had to spend 2-3 minutes standing on the door holding the car at the reader in order to open my room door, I went to the reception to solve that and they said it is normal and they can’t do anything. I should wait for the owner to arrive and talk to her/him. It simple not acceptable.

hair dryer was not working, room key not working properly, hotel call them dog friendly but do not have any infrastructure for dog and they seems not really fun of dogs. Breakfast low than average in hotels in the region and Austria. We asked for a fried egg and the waiter said only scrubbed they do not do fried lol which for me was just ridiculous… what is the big deal of making a fried egg instead of scrubbed… really bad customer. I had to study in the evening and wanted to stay in the reception, they said I could sit there but the light need to be turned off. In Summary it was a disappointment and I would never recommend it or going back myself.

I loved the place. My brother is lodging there every winter for year's, and he knows the good places. Real Austrian coziness. Clean, modern, friendly, and exceptionally helpful. We got tips for the best slopes and snow. Excellent breakfast with pastries from their own bakery. The design of the sauna is amazing. The reception is closed in the evening, which was not a problem for us arriving very late at night. We just told them beforehand and they fixed everything. It lies central to most ski destinations in the area. There is a shuttle bus. We had a car, which was very convenient. There are free parking lots around the house. We will come again.
