Moulin de Vernegues Hotel

Spacious bedroom with very comfortable bed and bathroom. The reception desk staff were friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our evening meal but were disappointed by our reception by the maitre d', who was a bit stand-offish. The table service was not up to expectations (wine arrived after food, a bit slow ...).

why was the pool closed end of May? it’s not mentioned on Booking.com the pool opens end of June! The Spa was more closed than open.

I will not return to this hotel where the customer does not matter at all

On arrival, at 7h30pm I was informed that I had to go to another hotel as there was no hot water in my room. I eventually spend the night in my room as I did not wish to drive to find another hotel. The next day when I came back from work at about 8pm, I was told that the restaurant was booked for a private party and that it was not possible for the chef to prepare a tray with a selection of his choice. I had to go out and drive to have diner.

Rooms were quite large and well equipped. Main building is 18th century and well restored. Good breakfast in the courtyard.

the property is well designed, feels safe and exclusive. we like the location and seems convenient, certain, need to have a car.

The room was not very clean and a bit worn. the restaurant however was very nice. Some of the front desk staff seems either very junior or inexperienced - our room’s air conditioning was broken and our feedback was “sorry, nothing we can do”. there was no “service” attitude at all and incapable in solving problems. The lady at the front desk was so arrogant that she wouldn’t let us speak to the manager by saying the manager is not here, in a way like her words is as authorities as it can be. “nothing we can do”Fortunately, in the end the hotel manager walked pass and immediately looked for solution - calling electricians in to check and repair. he offered us to have a cold drink, we didn’t take it, but that’s the attitude you should expect from a quality hotel!

Disappointing

No dinner available in the restaurant, and the hot food was not replenished at breakfast.Had to wait 30 minutes to check out, the groups ahead were all complaining.

The hotel is charming, lovely garden, spacious rooms.

there was a party from 10pm until 2 am, and impossible to sleep due to loud music. the reception staff during the evening was completely unhelpful and rude! the hotel manager did apologize and offered a 10% discount the morning after but this did not help :)

location is ok

Unfriendly staff, all the pool area and bars were closed and dirty even though it was 30 degrees during a holiday in france. facilities were old and clearly not cleant.

The Suite room was excellent

Bar too smokey from the fireplace and after a drink you smell of smoke. Room did not get made up and we need to find towels and make our beds. Restaurant food is very basic, yum but very minimal and no vegetables, they fill you up on bread rolls. SPA is closed 2 days a week and only limited when open. I booked this hotel specifically becasuse of the SPA but we could not use it. Breakfast was good if you can find a table to eat.

I loved the room, on the second floor overlooking the 3rd hole in line with the sunset. Very happy with the diner served in my room after 18 holes under the sun.

Breakfast was a bit of a downer in face of all the other perks... But Covid, Covid, Covid...

staff was very kind in reserving me a table for dinner. also qualified for a slight discount on my green fee
