    Pros +

    • Great location, very spacious room, friendly staff and great food! The hotel has three restaurants and we tried all three and was a really nice experience!
    • Fabulous view from room. Junior staff excellent, very helpful and polite.
    • The location is ok. Right by the lake. La Ferme restaurant was very good. Young pleasant staff and a brilliant atmosphere. My wife is gluten-free so that split the fondue for two into separate pans. First class.

    Cons -

    • Breakfast expensive. Budget breakfast poor. Dinner good - when it was available. When booked into a hotel, dinner bookings are usually available until midday - but not here. Unless booked the day before they were not available. We were told that the restaurant was full on three occasions when on checking in the evening it clearly was not it was just that the hotel had decided to only set half of the tables. So no consideration for guests just the staffing levels. Senior staff most unhelpful about this, surly even.Room a bit scruffy and not well equipped.
    • Breakfast at €17 too expensive. We took it and you would have to be a glutton to get your moneys worth. Our initial room was incredibly small and located in a little area along with two other rooms behind a fire door. Carpet and chair was stained. Complained and got a slightly better room but still very poor value for money. A hotel of faded glory that had certainly seen better times I’m afraid
    • The breakfast is crazy expensive for what it is, I’d recommend not having that. The sheets in the room had a funny smell to them, like they had been laundered and then not dried fully before being put away. Almost smelt like a curry! Nothing that put us off and we soon didn’t notice until coming back into the room. The bathroom is quite basic and could do with a shower head holder and shower curtain. But we made do with what was there.

Its location is great! The staff are friendly and more than willing to help. Their English is much better than our French and they tried to understand our broken vocabulary and help where they could. The bed was very comfy!

    Not much

The word that best sums up this hotel is “pretentious”. It styles itself as a four-star establishment, but is actually only an acceptable three-star. After a room change to one that met my requested access with no stairs, I found the room lacking in charm. Although the corridors were carpeted, the room was fitted with vinyl flooring, giving it a cool atmosphere. The work area was a wooden table of barely adequate size, but fitted with a plate-glass top, making it useless as a mouse pad.The restaurant was expensive, but served a mise-en-bouche of cuisses de grenouilles soup, a novelty for me. I was disappointed that the escargots were served, not in their shells, but without their shells and cooked in a red wine sauce, not what I had expected.I would only use this hotel again if there was no alternative available in the area.

Really enjoyed our stay. Evening meal in the hotel restaurant for Monday was very busy , food and service was brilliant. Staff happy, very polite, friendly and more than happy to help. Will definitely stay here again.

Choice of food at buffet breakfast - too many cakes, no croissants. As we had a late breakfast some items were in short supply. Also there was no sausage and no orange juice - we had to ask for more which staff were happy to do.

Nice restaurant with good food. Friendly staff

Our room was smelly (mold or old smoke?).

I chose this hotel as I was booked into the cheese restaraunt close by.. Perfect location with free parking

Liked the dining room & location. Very clean throughout. On the night that I stayed on the road side of the hotel the road was quiet. Breakfast recommended. Old world charm some of the facilities were old but everything worked and was clean.. Family run hotel since 1940's.. Recommended, good communication by staff Large room with shutters & door onto the front balcony Handy location for Metabief! Beds & linen confortable. Room warm on arrival.

Here it is all about the location and the hotel’s three restaurants (the cheese fondue is to die for)! Staff were friendly.

No air conditioning in the room. The lift only goes to L2; getting our heavy luggage up two flights of stairs to the 3d level took some doing.

Gorgeous location......very friendly staff.....3 restaurants to indulge....the scallops and steak were exceptionally delicious

Room a little tired and breakfast a little expensive.

The hotel is quite fancy with amazing restaurants. The parking is for free and it is a pet friendly hotel.

    The view

They didn't recognized my vaccination certificate ( from the US) so they contrainsted me into my room. Not suitable for disabled people.

Free parking. Common areas are nicely decorated. Outdoor pool. Good breakfast. Great views of the lake from the balcony. Restaurant du Fromage is great!

Should be coffee in the room (there was tea). Need a shower curtain to stop bathroom floor getting wet. Perhaps needs a fan as there is no a/c. Rooms are quite small.

Lovely views over the lake. Lovely meal at the Restaurant Du Fromage

Hotel decor and furnishings a little faded
