- Location is splendid and worth it - easy and free parking at hotel's site, next to the water front - many options for water sports
- The room was spacious, and the beds very comfortable. The hotel is in front of the beach and has one of the two restaurants in the area. The staff was friendly and spot on the cleanliness.
- Nice location, good roomsize and comfortable beds.
Cons -
- Room was pretty basic, but clean - a little to warm for my liking and no AC. Opening the windows created hauling wind sound. Breakfast was not meeting expectation for price-point (22E/pp), so get yours nextdoors.
- I would improve the breakfast. It was good overall, but the selection and quality of hot dishes could be better. I definitely wouldn’t pay 19 euros if there were other options nearby.
- No smoking.allowed on the balcony.

Good location. Pretty modern in our room. Quiet and great views of the beach and horizon. Black out curtains helped with the long days.
Lots of spider webs, could use more of a deep cleaning around that part. No AC and we happened upon a very hot period - don’t think that is common but made it uncomfortable . The restaurant wasn’t great - food was ok, staff didn’t know how to make an aperol spritz.
not a lot though in truth we were only there for a short time.we had a family room and it was very spacious.
IN the notes with our booking I pointed out that one person had walking dificulty so asked for a room near to the lift. I also noted that we would not arrive till late evenin g. When we arrived we were told hotel had 2 lifts but that the one nearest our room was closed at night time so we would have to use the other lift and walk past the other lift to our room.as a british person when a hotel says there is tea in your room I would expect to be able to have tea with milk in it. I was told that although they supply tea bags including english breakfast bage they dont supply milk. I was also told that if I had arrived earlier in the evening I could have bought a glass of milk For £3. Finaly the waste bins in the room had not been empted from previous guests
We did not stay, yook 2 minutes to decide it was rubbish. Cost me over 100 euros. Do not book here.
Awful. We did not stay, cancelled booking. Awful, dirty, shabby, 'sea view'? Air conditioning. Mosquito plague, balcony disgusting, plastic chsurs, moss etc. Awful. I will now try pointlessly to get my money back from someone. 1 star. Terrible.
Hotel has a good location near the beach with plenty of parking and restaurants nearby. There was a good area for parking our bikes near reception which was under cover, out of sight and fairly secure. Room was old fashioned but spotlessly clean, quiet, light and spacious. Very comfortable bed. Great bathroom and shower.
We had the more basic land view room and the outside seating area really needed some attention! We would have loved some tea and coffee in the room.
Staffs were friendly.
The view from the window was totally blocked by containers.I got an allergic reaction while sleeping there.
Breakfast and restaurant were good, situation on sea side is very nice.
Bathroom looks like a hospital one. There were plenty of spiders behind curtains, hopefully I’m not scared of them.
Closest place to the beach
This hotel is definitely not a 4-star establishment; it only deserves 2 or 3 stars at most. The rooms are outdated, and there are no refrigerators or bottled water provided. The shower rooms are old and streaked, and the rooms themselves are very small. Additionally, everything on the balcony is covered with moss. The hotel advertises a beautiful photo featuring a view of the sea and beach, but what you actually see are construction sites and excavators on the beach to the left. The sound insulation is nonexistent; if you're hoping to sleep in during your day off, you won't be able to, as the cleaning begins at 7 a.m., and you can hear every step of the maids. If you manage to sleep in and want your room cleaned after 12:00 p.m., you won’t be able to do so because the maids stop working after that time. While the booking information claims that breakfast is included, you will actually be asked to pay an additional 21 euros per person for breakfast at the reception.Although the restaurant is advertised to be open until 11:00 p.m. (with the option to reserve a table until then), the kitchen actually closes at 9:00 p.m., leaving you unable to order anything other than drinks after that time.
The room was nice and spacious! And the views towards the sea are really special!
The bed was rather uncomfortable. The bed is essentially a box spring with a slight mattress pad on top. The Double bed looks like it would be one cohesive thing, but has a crack down the middle making it uncomfortable for sleeping.
Beautiful island and a nice place to relax. The room was clean but needed some updating as the furnishings were worn out. Breakfast was decent and the owner is very nice.
Too many very steep, narrow steps up to the room….two flights of steps . Was on the third floor in which I shared a bathroom, which was fine……..however, you had to go to the second floor down the steep stairs to shower. The shower and the toilet are not on the same floor. The owner was very nice and did help me with my luggage when I arrived and returned. He is not on the property and had to make a call….he has a restaurant down the road where you will have your breakfast, too.
Very quiet location, outside the city centre. Excellent breakfast. Good beds. The bikes could be stored in a place outside but covered.
The room smelt a bit old. Strict rules by check in (not possible to check ahead of time).
Having arrived by bicycle, being wet I asked the receptionist if there was a facility to dry our clothes. The receptionist was far from helpful dismissing the question
receptionist being less than helpful
Helpful staff, had a fault in my booking but they helped me out and were really flexible about it.It had a fantastic view of IJsselmeer with a cute balcony.
Worst place ever in the NL!
1. We didn’t stay in this hotel because it was awful.2. The room that was assigned to us smelled terribly like a mix of sweat, old, damp, stored away, wet rug, I can't describe the terrible smell there was.3. They took us to a new room and it was exactly the same, the room smelled horrible and the worst thing was that there was an infestation of mosquitoes, and the response from the girl at the reception was that there was an infestation and there was nothing she could do, which is understandable but why? not clean that?4. We requested again a room change which was totally denied, so we had to leave the hotel because we really couldn't stand the bad service and lack of hygiene that the hotel has, apart from this they did not return the amount we paid for the night's lodging,5. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, we do not want to imagine what the uncleanliness would be like even in the beds, the floor was completely dirty, with stains, if this is what the room service is like, the food/restaurant service must probably be worse, if not They can control a “mosquito infestation” inside the room, I can't imagine how many mice or bugs there must be in the kitchen
Pleasant unassuming hotel on the beach.Worth paying a little extra for a beautiful sea view.
Rooms were a bit dated but still comfortable
Very nice environment, lot of rabbits running around outside of hotel?, average breakfast , free parking , nice receptionists that helped our extra request
- very outdated rooms,- no mosquitos nets on windows-no AC- rooms on the ground floor (designated for dogs ) are hard to ventilate as you can only either fully or close the door to the outside but not possible to partially open then window , although there is a very little ventilation that is absolutely not sufficient - no fridge -bathroom on groundfloor doesn’t have any shower door so water goes everywhere , but you have there mop (moldy) to deal with it ?- hotel is ranked 4 stars , here I want to point out that it has absolutely nothing from 4 star ranking hotels , we would give it max 2 stars . There are no cards to open doors only keys no slippers,no AC, no bathrobe, etc ,you will right away see once you enter the hotel that there is something wrong with this ranking , however on the other side where they serve breakfast there is also bar and that area look much better .
the location, friendly stuff, food
The room gets warm in night and due to mosquito attack, cant open the doors. Should have measures to cool the room a bit down.
Worst hotel ever with no clue on hospitality!
I booked the last room in this so called 'pet-friendly' hotel and stated clearly under 'Important Information' that we would bring our small dog. On arrival the receptionist said that that there were no rooms where dogs were allowed available. And that we should pay another 75 euros on top of the room fee, to allow our dog to stay. We just spent 3 days previously in a lovely hotel that charged a fair amount of 10 euros per night for our dog. Hotel Vigilante had not only accepted our booking via booking.com and did nót supply the expected pet-friendly room. It also presented us at the very last moment of checking in (!) with their problem and this unreasonable extra amount of 75 euro. The receptionist said that we should have reacted to their email which made us as customers having to check which room we booked and check if this was pet-friendly... That's the hotelworld upside down. The Hotel is renting out rooms. We as customers are not their assistants. However, I searched only on 'pet-friendly' on booking.com and accompanied my booking with the important notice that we would bring our dog. So Hotel Vigilante has accepted our booking knowing that they did not have the requested room available. Basically offered false information. Hotel Vigilante should only have refused our booking and not have stated on Booking.com that they had pet-friendly rooms available. What made us upset, is that the receptioniste made it our financial problem that her hotel had accepted our booking whilst they did not have the reserved room available. The receptionist also did not want to offer a voucher so we could come back without our dog at another day.We thought this offer was so unprofessional that we could not accept it and left. As we had prepaid the hotelroom, we look forward to seeing our money back from Hotel Vigilante/Booking.com
