Popilia Country Resort

Great stay here. The cabin was excellent, the food in the restaurant was delicious, the spa was well appointed. Wish we stayed longer to take advantage of all of the facilities. Too many options for just 1 night

No T.V in the living area of the room - had to go to bed to watch. Not a huge deal but something I thought was a bit odd

We liked the friendly staff, the location is awesome. The facilities are nice and clean. We liked that there is a football pitch, a minigolf course and animals that the kids can visit. The views are very nice and it's very peaceful. Would and will visit again.

The pool is beautiful, the property built to the highest degree of quality. The furnishings: beds, linens, bathroom fixtures, electrics, numerous seating areas, the dining areas, all best quality and maintained with care and intention. The exterior grounds are truly beautiful with paved, meandering pathways, multitudes of green and flowering areas and an abundance of lovely trees. I saw not one sign of wear or inattention to the smallest detail. Many compliments to the housekeeping staff. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and covers all of the expected dietary needs; the staff are attentive and professional. . The dining room is simply stunning in the way it exudes southern Italian comfort. The head chef seems to lean into a french-style of method with a creative menu, while using the freshest local food; much of it kilometer 0.

USB outlets in the rooms would be a welcome convenience. I found the front desk staff are somewhat aloof and less than welcoming for hospitality. We were never offered pool towels and didn't know they existed until I began to look around the pool and noticed nearly everyone had a gorgeous, bright orange towel. The towels are kept, in apparent secrecy, behind the front desk; not offered freely. We notified we would like to arrive a bit early to use the pool.

Fabulous last minute find in the country side, very peaceful. Had a lovely dinner. Great value all around

Liked everything about the hotel....the staff, the property, the food...all excellent...the only little issue was that the use of the indoor pool and sauna where not included in the room rate...but other than that and that they should have more than 1 EV charging station, it was a very pleasant hotel to stay in. Thank you for your great hospitality.

The hotel is located in the beautiful countryside near Pizzo. The spa and treatments are amazing.

Beautiful nature, large well maintained property. Cottages located at a reasonable distance from each others providing privacy and comfort . Thanks for being pet friendly.

A bit isolated which is what one might seek in an accommodation, but the road indication ( even after following Google Maps) to reach the location is very sketchy and the road in poor conditions. The restaurant where I had dinner is nice, food is good but the portions are modest and overpriced. The drains in bathroom ( bidet and lavabo) were blocked which was unpleasant.

It was clean and decently priced. Pool seemed nice. The view - nice as well. Room and bathroom were decend and clean, although I've been to much better rooms for 4*.

The staff at breakfast was rude. We did not feel welcome at all. The tiniest possible juice caps in the world. I could not believe we were supposed to drink juice from a 50 mm carton coffee cup. I asked for glass and the waiter pointed to these. The breakfast choise was quite limited.As we went out on the open to have the breakfast, we saw a used ashtray next to the table and naturally we thought it is ok to smoke. Another waiter came to say the smoke gets inside the restaurant so we can't smoke there. We just pointed out the the ashtray was already there. It was again not very polite.Overall our feeling was we were mostly invisible or intruding. Might have to the with the fact we were not italian.Maybe it is a good spa resort. I do not know. We were just for an overnight stay during travel.

Love this resort! Such picturesque views! The only issue is that a long drive up mountain to get to it. Otherwise, it's just beautiful. Great breakfast, too!

The property is very popular for weddings because it is so beautiful. However, that can cause issues for other guests staying at the resort, particularly if you are in an annex close to the pool area as quite often fireworks are let off from the paths near the pool. Breakfast was very nice but was the same every day. A bit of change each day would be welcome.

Restaurant could use more choices of food. Husband didn’t get his gluten free pasta until 45 minutes of ordering and we were all finished our meal. There were a lot of ants at our cottage and was hard to have food outside.

Wonderful property with beautiful garden - very relaxing Nice rooms

The location is very remote high up on the mountains. It takes at least 20min of windy roads with only 1 lane (but traffic in both directions) to get there. There are 2 options. DO NOT USE THE EXTREMELY STEEP, WINDY, NARROW AND DAMAGED STREET recommended by Google maps. It is really dangerous, especially in the dark, and facing other vehicles on the steep narrow street with broken edges and without any wiggle room can become a dangerous and/or car-wrecking experience.

The way up to the hill is a bit dark/ scary in the night?
