The room was cool & quiet. Breakfast was just ok.
Silly kettle that never boiled the water for the awful tea
Very friendly and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Very peaceful and comfortable. Great location for the town.
Quiet place and very clean. Nice touch of Alentejo decoration.
Mattress was hard and very noisy when turning in bed. One flat pillow per person
The room was good, the view was lovely.
The manager was unfriendly and unhelpful
A nice hotel. My room was above a courtyard with lots of pot plants and palms. It was clean, large enough and the bed was good with nice bedding. I had a good night's rest. The receptionist/cleaner/general factotum was great - he couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
A bit difficult to find - not the hotel's fault - Maura is a bit of a topographical maze! Also the breakfast wasn't as good as I thought it might be - you can't expect gourmet food for a cheap price - but a bit of fresh fruit and some decent rolls would be nice. Still, the urn coffe wasn't too bad and there was lots of milk....
They answered my messagesThey had a secure space inside the hotel to store my bike/bicycleThe staff spoke good EnglishSupermarket, bars and restaurants within easy 10 minute walkWiFi was goodAir con was good
As others have commented the bed was slightly uncomfortable
Location, clean, cheap, good value for money
Sound isolation is not the best
Well, the location of the hotel is in a very good place. The breakfast starts at 07 am which was also good regarding our world travel. At night we were in almost everything needed
I only stayed there for a week and was always in working mode, I don't have anything to declare that i didn't like.
it is a nice basic hotel w decent breakfast, clean rooms, walkable to restaurants.
it was fine and there are limited options in Maura. we had recently stayed in larger towns and amazing hotels so it was a change for us.
The Hotel was good, very clean. Bedroom and bedroom were a good size. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was ok. The hotel team were also very friendly. I can’t speak a word of Portuguese but the staff could not do enough to help out.
I didn't particularly like the plastic bed covering under the bed sheet
Good location for walking around the town. Because the town goes back to the 13th century, Many of the streets are very narrow and one way system now. More like walkways.A couple of kilometres walking takes you everywhere. There's also an old Castle and a Museum. The Alquelva Dam is close by and should not be missed with fabulous scenery all around. It's 5 kilometres away.
Nothing really.
Lovely building. Some rooms on 1st floor looked really nice with tiled decorations, balconies and features. Hotel had nice rooftop with views and pool at end of garden. Location good. Parking easy.
We were in ground floor tucked away so our room wasn't that great but still ok.
Travelling for work I must say that the stay exceeded all my expectations .The whole staff went above and beyond what was expected and were able to accomodate all my requests . The room and all common areas are very well kept and extremely clean .Excellent and plentiful breakfast ,freshly baked bread and several breakfast options to choose from .In future stays in Moura I will most definitely be coming back.Really enjoyed the experience!!!!
Breakfast was good. The room had good wifi connection. The owner received me personally and helped me with me bags to the room. I had two heavy bags with me and without knowing this in advance, the owner had booked a room at the far end of the hotel. So he helped me carrying the bags on the stairs. When leaving, the owner popped out his head out of the entrance door to wave me goodbye while I was prepping for another 4 hour drive with my 125cc scooter to my next location. Always a very appreciated addition something like that. It's the cherry on the cake. Overall a very good experience this hotel. When I need a hotel again in the area I will certainly book the hotel again.
I liked basically everything. The place is a bit older and in my opinion that gives it style. Bed slept good, shower in bath and worked well, aircon, people helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very simple but the value for money for this place is exceptional
Very friendly and immediately helped me carry my panniers and bring the bike inside to safe keep.
Nothing it was quiet but all was good
