Vänerport Lakefront Hotell

Very friendly and helpful staff. The location and the room were very nice. The bed was really comfy, but we would rather have had a whole double bed, not two singles put together.

The breakfast was somewhat poor, but ok.

The location on the harbor was nice. It is also not far from the train station. The room was adequate size, with a little entry.

The room was very spare, and the beds were not particularly comfortable.

Close to city and right on the waters edge.Nice rooms and great for cyclists as storage in cellar was great. Excellent breakfast, free fika when we arrived. Other restaurants close by for dinner.

There wasn’t a restaurant for dinner serving hot food.

Breakfast was excellent as was the hotel's location and facilities. We arrived much later than expected due to missing train connections (well past checking in time) but the member of staff on duty was happy to wait until we arrived, which made for a really positive start to our stay,

The breakfast was excellent and the best thing about our stay at this hotel - in addition to the price, which was reasonable. The shower had good water pressure which was very pleasant. The hotel was nicely located in the port with nice restaurants close by.

The hotel was quite shabby. We stayed in an annex building where my nose got stuffy and where it was quite stuffy and too warm during the night. We had to open the balcony door - and someone could've climbed in. The mattress was too soft to our taste and the pillows too high (neck hurt in the morning).

nice spacious room, good breakfast, restaurant overlooking the harbor, close to the train and bus station.

Really liked the terrace where we ate breakfast and had a beer at sunset overlooking the small harbour. Big plus for having proper tea mugs and good tea. Breakfast was great and the staff super nice. It was the second time I stayed here and will definitely stay again.

The bathroom wasn't clean. The shower covered the floor with water, not just in the shower area.No mention of the steep stairs in block A and no offer to take cases up.

This hotel offers value for money. The name of is a bit misleading: you first have to cross the road, a parking lot before you reach the water.I read comments about the breakfast: it is good indeed, but very similar to what other hotels at this price range offer

We stayed during a very hot week. There is no airconditioning, only a ventilator. The room was very hot

The location is excellent and the view over the lake is stunning. A very nice and friendly hotel. Many nice restaurants close to the hotel. I can highly recommend the Sill&Dynamit.

Very good Swedish breakfast fare. There was a variation of hot and cold food with an excellent choice of breads

Great bed, wonderful staff, breakfast was great, parking for motorcycles was fantastic! Nothing to complain about except a refrigerator making a lot of noise, but better after unhooked!

Camera in the “feeding room”?

Even though we booked last minute the staff were welcoming and helpful. Loved that we were offered Fika when arrived and the breakfast was great - nice mix of hot and cold food. Went for the larger room and glad we did as plenty of space for the travel cot - and had a good powerful hot shower. Excellent free parking on site and available opposite and great location in town but on the waterfront.

Only improvement could have been darker curtains as I woke early by the daylight.

Great location (inside the old town), 2 minutes walk away from the domkyrkan and great sunset views. Decent breakfast buffet.

No water kettle and no tea/coffee inside the room.

The property was nice and clean and the breakfast excellent.

Only one major complaint, we went for dinner and left our room key in our room. We realized this when we got back from dinner at 21:15hrs. The entire hotel was closed. We called the desk about 15 times and no-one picked up the phone so we couldn’t access our room or the hotel entrance (someone let us in) till 7AM the next day. This was a kind of ridiculous and very dangerous, because when you can’t access the hotel with -15C outside you would frieze the death.

Great value for money. The room was cozy and quiet. Breakfast was quite good as well!
