    Pros +

    • The view over the valley and city is spectacular - we were clearly lucky to get a room on that side of the hotel. Food and wines are excellent. Staff delightful. Plenty of free car parking nearby.
    • Very clean friendly staff, lovely restaurant and evening meal was excellent.
    • Short stay in St Claude, hotel located above the city by the station. We paid extra for a room overlooking the mountains - a very good choice.Dinner was good with a choice of starter, main and desert, wine choice was good as well. Comfortable room, no coffee/tea making facilities in room.Staff were very pleasant.

    Cons -

    • No lift, but guests with mobility issues are catered for on the ground floor.
    • Not much selection for breakfast.
    • Some of the bread at breakfast was inedible due to being dry and hard. I suspect not fresh that morning which surprised me.A visit with a vacumn cleaner in the restaurant light fittings might be an idea.

Great location and decent rooms. Friendly staff

View towards the rain station of course not as nice as towards the city valley. Rooms and hotel a bit dated.

I loved the professional & friendly staff! Julian was very helpful! The rooms were clean with a comfy bed! The bathroom has a make-up light & the room has a USB plug too! Ample closet space for clothes, etc! Good amenities available! We loved the food & excellent service in the restaurant! Delicious! The breakfast was fresh & varied! I will definitely return & highly recommend the Jura hotel! It was a great surprise indeed!?

Perhaps place another bedside table on the other side of the bed as the space is available ?

    Small room, bit noisy

Excellent view across the town and good meal in the spacious restaurant

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on both the Saturday and Sunday when we were there in March.

    8IanPosted on: 11-2-2023

The restaurant provided a good meal and good service.

The full panoramic view from my room was restricted by a concrete pillar.

    7WarrenPosted on: 9-24-2023

Close to the train and bus. Easy walking distance to the town. Great views from our window.

We ate in the restaurant. The slow cooked pork shoulder was very tasty but tough to cut and chew. The hamburger was very dry to eat. No fat in the meat on a dry bread bun. Perhaps we just chose the wrong dishes.

A one night stop in the very beautiful Jura mountains. A nice hotel near the centre of St Claude. Very quiet. The restaurant was closed so can’t comment on the food.

    Location, staff, view

Missing conditioning, but with open windows feels good. Wi-fi very slow, kind of dial-up connection speed.

The hotel was clean, modern and staff were friendly. The bed was very comfy, big and the room was large. Bathroom was very modern indeed! Breakfast was a great buffet. The receptionist was so lovely. Great walk into town for food too!

The outside didn't look very inviting (bar cafe full of men) but don't judge on arrival, we were pleasantly surprised, it also closed relatively early.

    1ElliePosted on: 6-24-2023

Man on the desk was friendly

Parking unavailable despite requesting prior to arrival. No elevator, No toilet roll and reception was closed. Strong damp smell in the room. Many pubic hairs in the bed, shower and bathroom. There was no evidence that cleaning had taken place in the toilet or any surfaces. Mattress had collapsed and springs were broken. There is no ventilation so stuffy and hot. I would not recommend, avoid if at all possible.

well located in front of train station + taxi, old town near by.

    7BenjaminPosted on: 10-22-2022

The view from the window of our room was nice. Good overview of the city. The shower seemed new and was spacious. Staff was nice.

Our mattress was worn out, witch made it uncomfortable.
