Masseria Lilei - Puglia, Salento

Very nice Masseria, clean, very details for everything, the staffs are very kind. Highly recommend to have dinner in their restaurant , most vegetables come from their garden. As well, their owned wines and olive oil, you wouldn’t disappoint. We will back again!

The place is beautiful and the servers were very kind and efficient.

The Air Conditioning did not work since we arrived. The manager did not handle the situation the way we expected. They kept saying it was working but was not. They did not offer anything, charged us full price despite the AC issue. Even the olive oil they produced was charged. Very disappointed.

Breakfast was very good, delicious. The pastries were all home made and amazing.

We had great aperitives before dinner. Really good cold and cheese boards and great cocktails. We were a bit underwhelmed by the dishes at dinner. They were correct, but not in line with the excellence of the Masseria and the level of cooking of the Salento area.

Sat stay ever. Great amenities, great staff, great food and drink. Very pleasant experience.

Stunning property , set in the vineyards , history dating back to 1492! The gardens are also stunning ! More staff than guests !

A bit out of the way , but that meant we escaped any crowds !

The property is picture perfect. The staff is warm and totally accommodating. This is a great place to take a break from frenetic travel.

There could be a more extensive lunch menu and it would be great to have daily special entrees as well as appetizers and deserts at dinner for those who stay a number ofdays.(The breakfasts were perfect!)

Beautifully renovated estate, spacious rooms, lovely swimming pool area. Excellent breakfast. An easy 15 minute drive from lively Lecce.

Tour of vineyards and wine-tasting was lovely, but a little overpriced.

It is a drive so you need a car!

Beautifully restored 14th-century farmhouse. Incredibly helpful concierge - they could not do enough for you: taxis, restaurant recommendations etc. Amazing pool that we had to ourselves most of the time.

The property is absolutely beautiful in a perfect setting. Quiet and very peaceful and the staff are professional and very attentive. The only negative is the food we had for dinner, the quality is below average, I had lemon chicken and it’s very basic, strips of chicken with white sauce that seems to be a mix of flour with water and lemon, not delicious. My daughter had lasagna and it was very dry. For dessert we had the chocolate soufflé and it was extremely dry. $82 euros for this quality of meal for dinner is exorbitant for the quality that we got. The Rose wine is pretty good and the breakfast is also very good, lots of choices of fresh fruits , cheese and cold meats. It’s a pity because we love everything about this place but the dinner is a huge turn off, it just doesn’t match to the 5 star service, beds and the whole ambience of this Masseria. Food is a huge part of having an excellent experience this one just missed it.:(

Food that we had for dinner is below average, everything is dry and extremely expensive for a small lasagna and strips of chicken covered with white sauce of flour , water and lemon juice. The dessert is the worst, beautifully presented but extremely dry.

Exceptional place with homemade wine and lovely staff - highly recommended. The most beautiful Masseria we discovered in Puglia.

The rooms were very spacious and interesting, grounds beautiful, staff really helpful and kind (especially David!). Everyday they helped us figure out plans / reservations / taxis, anything. Great location near Lecce (20 mins away, 30 euro taxi), and numerous beach towns varying from 25 minutes away to 1 hour away. We were able to explore pretty easily. There is a small town 5 minutes away that had a couple of great restaurants as well.

The property just opened, eventually there will be a wellness center and dinner service in the restaurant, but we weren't able to enjoy those unfortunately. So currently, have to leave at night or prepare in advance if you want to stay on property in the evenings.

Our stay at Masseria Lilei was the highlight of our time in Puglia. Giovanni, David and all the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the most wonderful and tailored experience. The food was incredible - delicious and authentic cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The gardens and rooms were beautifully designed and a pure oasis for our time in Italy. Thank you and we'll be visiting again!

This property is stunning, so well maintained and a fantastic place to spend a few days. Room (Superior) was GORGEOUS, pool was beautiful, breakfast was the best we had in 3 weeks in Italy. Treatment by staff and owners was amazing! Opened in June, but in a building from the 1400's - this place is well worth a visit if you have a few days for a splurge. I cannot recommend Masseria LiLei enough!

This Masseria scores a 10 in all areas. It started with the warm welcome and tour by Clara, David and the De Pascalis family. In the days that followed, we noticed that these people are intrinsically motivated to make sure you have a fantastic time in this Masseria and the surrounding area! Clara and David speak perfect English and were very friendly and helpful with planning trips to nearby towns. The entire plot has been laid out with an eye for detail. The courtyard, the rooms, the garden, the pool and the restaurant look fantastic. Elegant and neat.In the restaurant you will be looked after by ladies who know how to provide a nice breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their English is less good, but with a few Italian and English words they know exactly what you mean and wish for. There is a whatsapp service with which you can pass on your wishes for lunch, dinner and when you are lying by the pool.Because the hotel has been open since June 2022, the wellness area is still under construction. This should also be ready in Q3/Q4 2022. It is a perfect complement to the whole.We are sad that we had to go after 5 amazing days. The WiFi on the room could be better sometimes. But for us that was not a problem at all.
