- The Lodge Hotel is centrally located in Les Rousses, within minutes of all of the restaurants, bars and shops (and tourist information office). The staff were lovely and Murielle went out of her way to help us with transport when we struggled to find a taxi to the station (note for those travelling without a car - public transport is very limited in the village). The breakfast was fairly basic but substantial (with fantastic bread) and meant that we didn't need to eat lunch each day. The room itself was spotlessly clean, quiet and the bed comfortable given the high temperatures on the first two nights of our stay.

- Being of a 'traditional style' the room itself was quite small and dark and there wasn't really much space to spread out or relax (the hotel has no real garden to speak of). This was fine for a short stay (although due to the weather we were forced to stay inside out of the rain for a lot of the time), but might be problematic for those staying longer. I would also have liked to have had a kettle and small fridge in the room, rather than having to go downstairs to 'borrow' the communal kettle (or the Nespresso machine...) each time we wanted a coffee. We had bought coffee bags with us, which was lucky as the communal refreshment tray contained only a few bags of sugar. But overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Le Lodge. Thank you!
- The room had absolutely no realm. The puctures at booking gave us a wrong impression. There was a penetrating smell of diesel in the hotel. At the entrance we had to keep our breath in. And we could also smell it in our room. Less than the hallway but still noticeable.
