    Pros +

    • EXCELLENT BREAKFAST
    • Everything. Clean room, polite staff, excelent food, confy bed.

    Cons -

    • But in short, here's what could be better: - The bed was not comfortable.- There was a little bit of spider web in the room.
    • PARKING TOO FAR FROM FROM HOTEL -- 50 METRES TO CARRY OUR LUGGAGE AND THEN UP THE STAIRS.NO AIRCON OR FAN AT 30 DEGREES
    • It was the worst experience I and the other 4 in my group have ever had. I am a level 3 genius customer and owner of a booking partner hotel with a score of 9.7. I was ashamed of our American friend for bringing him to that sinister place. There was no advertising board on the hotel building. There were 4 buildings at the location. I called the hotel owner and asked her in English to explain to us which one we should enter... The owner rudely replayed us she leave in Germany, so she only speak German. After we managed by ourselves to find the hotel, she shouted, kicked us out of the building and refused us accommodation because I told her she should always find a way to communicate with customers. Then she slandered me in a message sent to booking that I had offended her. But I spoke only in English. She claims that she does not know English. Even if I would offended her, I do not know how she could have understood what I was saying... Initially I felt discriminated based on nationality and language. Later I noticed in the hotel reviews on Google that other customers, some of them Germans, had a similar experience... (Goran Schon, Frank Brutsch, BB, Gabs, Petra Loutz etc.). My statements can all be proven by the recordings and transcripts from the mobile phone company. The owner seriously slandered me. I suggest she apologize publicly.

Excellent clean friendly Hotel. Excellent food.

Only issue was a small walk from car to Hotel..my 84 year old disabled Mother struggled a little.

The moment we arrived we knew it was perfect for us. Our interests are nature, walking, and beautiful countryside. As quaint, quiet, and cute as the accommodation was, we spent most of time walking and cycling on the trails. It would be fair to say it isn't the type of place you'd spend time at - but a very nice place to come back to after a day out. The included breakfast (with the usual selection of yoghurt, fresh fruit, bread, and tea/coffee) was unremarkable but plenty enough to fuel the day's activities.

Breakfast is ok, lots of bread, eggs, yoghurt etc. More than enough.

We broke the toilet seat, it broke unexpectedly. We had to pay for the repair.

The place is nice to be away from city. I had the loft and was spacious.

I stayed for 5 days. There is no washing machine or laundry service. No house keeping. Evening insect are everywhere. No net or filter o. Windows to keep insects away.

Very nice place to explore the Black Forest. Spacious and cosy loft with fire place and good WiFi, right at the forest edge. Clean, decent place, towels and sheets provided, parking at the house and friendly downstairs neighbours and landlord. Tasty restaurants nearby and shops in the neighbouring villages. By car, you can reach many nice places within an hour's drive.

Our room had a nice balcony where it was a pleasure to sit. Breakfasts are ok, dinners in the restaurant were great. If you like hiking or biking, this location is just marvelous - there are many interesting routes in every direction. And with a short car ride you can reach a few amusements park that'll be interesting for children.

Food convenience - there is no fridge in the room, and the only 2 restaurants within walking distance only work by reservation and not every day - it's a bit annoying, especially when you are here with children.

Very nice breakfast buffet with various styles of coffee available, along with the usual German meat, cheese, yogurt, cereal, juices & a good selection of bread, including croissants. Liked the hiking path from the hotel that connected with the Wutach Schluct hiking trail, lots of shade with all the trees. Ate dinner one night at the hotel, and it was excellent.

Family room with adjacent 2nd bedroom was a bit small, but it worked fine for us & was very comfortable. Nice bathroom with very good shower.

    Food, location, staff, service

The beds, the additional price of 20 Euro for a cot per night for my daughter

The guest house is managed nicely and every request was answered properly. the property is located near Titisee and near other attractions in the black forest. the restaurant is wonderful for both breakfast and dinner.

It would be nice if the rooms can be equipped with a coffee machine.

Nice hotel and staff, room was spacious and comfortable.

Only comment is on the dinner - Tue eve unfortunately the kitchen was closed, respectively no option for dinner at the hotel.

Very nice family run guesthouse next to hiking paths. Very central and within easy reach of Freiburg. Excellent breakfast buffet and exceptionally friendly staff. Highly recommended. Parking next the guesthouse.

    All was nice

Staff is very friendly. Kitchen (breakfast and dinner) excellent. Excellent location for walking the Wutachslucht (startingpoint trail right next to the hotel, bus stop for the free busses in front of the hotel)

The room. I would love to have had the 9/10 fantastic experience as other guests seem to have had and grade accordingly but it looks that for now that will only be possible in the newly renovated (double) rooms. The family room definitely is in (urgent) need of renovation as well, especially the bathroom. Biggest nuisance is that if you, (or one of the people in the neighbouring room!) turn on the water (sink, shower, toilet flush) the plumbing pipes start making a bouncing noise like they're going to jump straight out of the wall! Sound somewhat akin to a burst of a hydraulic hammer! Needless to say that did wake us up a couple of times on all three of the nights we stayed here. There are other smaller things to improve to the room as well but the above really is the most urgent. A bit a pity really, as I'm certain the new owners and staff clearly have what it takes and still have the motivation and drive to let their guests have an excellent stay. Bottom line: would we stay here again in the future? Yes, we would, but only provided the family room is renovated first (or we would book other rooms). We're still a fan of this whole new project/venture though so thumbs up! :)

    Not much

Unfriendly staff. Left over pizza on the breakfast buffet. I have photos.

Nothing, one of the best I’ve stayed in
