- The location on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug is great. The grounds of the estate are wonderful. You can take nice walks. The staff is very kind. Breakfast was very nice. We enjoyed it, and felt the 35 euro per person was okay.
- Way overpriced

Cons -
- The hotel itself lacks facilities; the two restaurants are good, but booked up. Voltaire, a Michelin star restaurant and Lof, a bistro. The staff arranged dinner at the bistro. This was nice. The beautiful grand spaces and halls in the main building are empty, and reserved for events. So, there is no place for hotel guests to lounge, hang out and experience the main building which is the key attraction and reason to spend the night. There is a very small bar on the groubdfloor. When we asked for a place to have a drink at the end of the day after a walk we were directed to the bar. This was empty, we asked to sit on the deserted terrace, and there was a discussion whether this was allowed, since it was reserved for guests of Voltaire. Finally it was okay. It all felt like very little 4/5 star service. In such a place you expect to be pampered all the way. Not a luxury hospitality experience, more like a very nice bed and breakfast. The room was small with a basic interior. Very small window, in the ceiling. Expensive given the overall experience.
- No staff to help with luggage, two stairs up, no elevator, no staff at all at Koetshuis where we slept, all do-it- yourself. That makes the room price overcharged.
- Customer service is lacking, the staff were very rude and didn’t assist at all other than check in and checkout.

We were looking for small town, countryside, quiet experience. This place is amazing. We were greeted by the friendliest staff. They were ALL so helpful. Ghislaine, one of the property hosts welcomed us and showed us around and gave great suggestions. She made us feel like we knew her forever. We can’t wait to go back. The experience and ambience at Voltaire restaurant is unforgettable. It was amazing. Every bit worth it. We loved it.
There was nothing not to like.
Dinner was terrific, as I would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and we took the opportunity to taste wines that we had never heard of. We had a room upgrade to a room in the main building rather than the coach house, which was welcome as it rained for most of our stay.
Breakfast was very disappointing. Unfortunately I suffer from several allergies, including gluten. Sadly, breakfast did not accommodate my allergies, except for some sorry gluten free bread, which was served again the following day, by which time it was thoroughly stale. Breakfast was served in the same Michelin star restaurant as dinner, but while dinner had been excellent, breakfast was nowhere close, and the hotel should not have charged 35 euros for such a disappointing meal
An exceptionally beautiful and relaxing place with beauty surrounding it. The Parc Suite is stunning with a view on the lake. Like a Monet Painting. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly and supportive in every matter. It‘s quiet, beautiful and peaceful. We rented bikes and enjoyed the area and nature. Highly recommended.
Everything was perfect.
Breakfast was tasty, several options in a beautiful setting b the lake. Shoutout to Emma at reception who was helpful and attentive since the time of the booking up until the last minute of our stay.
Loved the attentions we get during all our stay (comfortable bathrobes, snacks in the room, gift when we left...)Restaurant (brasserie) was very good; breakfast too
Everything about our stay was excellent. On top of that, dinner at Voltaire was one of the culinary highlights of my life so far!
Very minor nitpick, but any noise will get through the thin windows at the “koetshuis” building - not a problem if you don’t mind mostly bird noises waking you up very early in the morning.
Beautiful location, nice interior design and lovey setting in a large park. This time we had dinner in the bistro which was great (during an earlier stay we enjoyed the Michelin star restaurant) and the breakfast was also very nice. And last but not least the staff was friendly and helpful.
Private garden with lake. A lot of nature. Michelin star restaurant with exquisite food.. Very hospitable and kind staff.
Bathroom ventilation seems to be automatically on and can’t be switched off manually.
Beautiful estate, nice restaurants, very clean
Check in could be better and take into account that it takes a long time before a taxi can pick you up because it is quite remote
Amazing estate! Everything is on the highest level! Territory, rooms, restaurants, personnel are amazing! We had the best time. Bistro Lof has delicious food and very nice service! Exceptional service in the whole hotel! We have ordered a birthday cake and the patisserie chef of the landgoed baked amazing cake for us, exceeding all expectations!!Thank you for wonderful day!
Beautiful setting and lovely buildings. Excellent food and service.
The location, staff and the excellent restaurant Voltaire.
Beautifully located in an impressive park. The rooms were big and comfortable, interesting decorations. Excellent food at the bistro and at breakfast; very friendly staff at breakfast. Were it not just one problem with cleanliness, the stay would be perfect.
I was looking for something and checked the area under the bed - needs some swiping... Otherwise, the room was clean.
Beautiful design villa with excellent restaurants and professional restoration in the middle of nature.
Everything the staff the location the food it was extremely excellent. The most beautiful hotel in the Netherlands ??
