    Pros +

    • I highly recommend staying at Les Carmes. It was an amazing property and the host made us feel so at home. It was quintessentially french and just what we were looking for! It was relaxing and off of the beaten path, quiet but easy to get find. What a beautiful life!
    • The mansion as such is very aesthetic The rooms are spacious Sauna, hot tub
    • the property is very clean and interesting.

    Cons -

    • nothing!
    • 1. The room was in 2nd floor and there was one lady who was managing everything from check-in to kitchen. It was difficult to manage luggage as we were three girls on a long trip 2. There's no microwave in the room 3. We were in the winter and Most of amenities like pool, barbeque was closed. But atleast the fire place should have real woods rather than a screen showing fire 4. Breakfast was very minimal and the only thing I liked was the croissant and one per person was served and a request to get one more was rejected! 5. Overall the service can be definitely improved for the money we pay
    • nothing . I am Italian and the continental breakfast was just fine. A US citizen may find it too small

Pascale is a treasure. His commitment to the comfort of his guests is 100%. We loved the gathering each evening for an aperitif with the other guests- a great idea and extremely generous. The sauna and steam room worked well and reached a good temperature (unlike other places we have stayed). The pool is a decent size for a swim - hurray - and the gardens are very well kept. Our room was spacious.

It is time for the place to have a bit of a refresh. This hotel is wonderful but it needs attention to some areas to make it excellent. All the bedding needs updating and upgrading. The bedroom furnishings needed a deep clean, or replacing, to be honest. Fresh cushions would go a long way. The gym area has great equipment but some of it is old and worn and the area needs a good tidy out.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Once arrived, our hots Pascal gave us warmly welcome and helped to carry our luggage to the house. He then provided everyone with wine and introduces facilities in the hotel. The room was spacious and well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. The daily breakfast was excellent and served by host by himself. Everything was smooth and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

We just wish the weather had given us a few more sunny days.

Very friendly reception upon arrival, including local wine tasting. The breakfast was very good with a variety of fresh bread, coffee, cereal, fruit and yogurt. The room was large and spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfy. Big TV set in the room with Netflix and other features. We did not get a chance to enjoy the spa facilities because of our short stay but they seemed to be very nice. The property is centrally located only a few miles away from L'isle sur la Sorgu with it's beautiful scenery and wonderful restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay there again.

    No complaints.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome.Pascal is a legend, so warm friendly and inviting. Nothing was too much trouble.House is amazing, proper south of France bliss.Having a car would be easier as it's a bit out of town, in saying that we had no problems getting users.

    Zero complaints!!

The house, rooms and gardens are exeptionally beautiful, arranged with great love alof detail. The beds are SO comfortable !Parking is very easy just in front of the building. The breakfast is delicious with all local good quality products, and the tour tipps of Pascal are very helpful to plan explorations of the area. We enjoyed the Aperitif Hour very much, it is a great idea to bring different cultures and stories together over great wine! Thank you for your outstanding hospitality Pascal!

    Nothing :)

CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH. Pascal the owner runs the place personally, he is extremely friendly, and passionate about the business and Provence. Very old style cozy rooms, but WiFi throughout the property. Excellent breakfast served daily, and dinner chef was on vacation while I was there, but Pascal recommended a nearby tour course and restaurants. We personally went to Gordes and loved it.Private jacuzzi + dry/wet spa for €28/pp was so worth it. We stayed during non-peak season, so we got to use it for 3 hours and just turn off the power when leavingWe also lost some clothes here, left them inside the closet. Pascal sent them to our next hotel in Paris and we were able to receive it!Do bring mosquito spray and post-bite gel/cream for the swimming pool.

Maybe bring mosquito spray and post-bite cream, but otherwise a perfect stay.

Everything you need for a visit to the Luberon - plus Pascal as an asset to assist you planning your visits to this beautiful area. Wonderful breakfast, excellent out of town location and unbeatable hosts. What's not to like.

Not a thing could possibly be better.

From the very first moment, you are made to feel completely at home. Pascal, our host, was attentive, warm, and very helpful. Our room was charming, full of thoughtful details to help you relax and enjoy your stay. The breakfast was generous, with delightful, freshly homemade croissants and local produce. Our stay was certainly a high point of our trip.

The entire place was unique and special. The host was great from greeting us as we arrived, helping with our luggage, showing us all around, great amenities, delicious breakfast, happy wine hour on the terrace with guests and map of the area with suggestions of p,aces to visit and eat.

We loved our overnight stay at this property on our journey from the UK down to the South of France. Pascal and Sara were both so welcoming. We travelled here with our two young children who loved the beautiful pool, surroundings and breakfast hot chocolate. The breakfast was delightful in a gorgeous setting on the terrace.Pascal is one of life’s special people who make you feel at home from the get go.I hope we will return one day.

It’s beautiful. Quite quirky with lots of different rooms through the lovely old house but it was fantastic. Huge room, bed and bathroom lovely gardens and a great pool - just what we needed after hours on the autoroute!

    10JeffreyPosted on: 7-16-2025

Wonderful hotel and the owner, Pascal, is the consummate host. Quick drive into Le Thor and Isle de la Sorgue and great restaurants and shopping along the river

    10StaceyPosted on: 7-12-2025

The host was gracious and welcoming. He greeted us with complimentary white wine and olives. The rooms were enormous - as part of our suite, we had two sitting rooms, a giant bedroom, and a private garden all to ourselves. Decor was fanciful, romantic, and reflected the host's lovely personality and the region's character. This 14th-century convent has been expertly converted into a unique and comfortable vacation hideaway. Breakfast, served on the beautiful terrace, included homemade croissants, superb cheese, and local artisanal yoghurt. The heated pool was a wonderful way to relax, and we enjoyed seeing the wild rabbits scamper through the beautifully-manicured grounds. Children would be especially happy with the giant outdoor chess set and croquet court, and lots of little gardens to explore. Only nine minutes' drive from L'Isle sur la Sorgue. Our Franco-American family will certainly return!

We loved this hotel! The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They helped us book a restaurant for dinner since we forgot to make reservations. They made a tour of the place when we arrived because it’s so lovely there that they want to show you everything they have to offer. We also got a complimentary glass of wine while waiting for our room. Breakfast was amazing, most of it was homemade. The hotel is beautiful. The room was cozy and clean and I loved the interior design and the whole style of the hotel. The location was perfect ( if traveling with a car). Amazing place!

Gorgeous country house in beautiful Provencal countryside superbly hosted by Pascal and his team. Comfortable, well equipped room packed with rustic charm. Delicious breakfast on the terrace. Great pool, leisure facilities, early evening aperitifs sharing stories with other guests. Magnifique!
