Pros +
- Great location and the building is beautiful.
- Ok hotel in a stunning setting, friendly staff and beautifully presented food
- Loved the location, very relaxing surroundings, amazing food, pool was very welcome in the high heat. Easy to access the Ardeches. A perfect stay and we wish we had had longer.
Cons -
- No Electric car charging at a remote location. I found the man at the bar rude. As soon as we entered with my family as I wanted to quickly show them the reception area, he told us three times rudely that they are close while he was serving people at the bar and there were two tables sitting in the restaurant. Above all we had no intention to have a drink there anyway.
- Insects all over the room - mosquitoes, spiders, flies and moths. In my first hour in the room I must have killed over 50 insects - it was like I had disturbed an entire ecosystem in our room. We also found a sweet wrapper and biscuit crumbs next to the bed. Dinner was served in the outdoor courtyard and the constant mosquitoes prevented us from enjoying the beautifully presented meal. This hotel is in a very rural setting so the insects outdoors are inevitable and you’ll never keep them completely out of the rooms, but I think the hotel needs to try harder to keep the rooms free of so many insects.

I liked the setting, gorgeous environment, very calm. I enjoyed the courtyard and having dinner there was delightful. I also really appreciated the hospitality of the owners, who were knowledgeable, kind, and passionate about their place and region.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful food. Swimming pool looked great, but unfortunately didn't have time for a swim
All was good
The hotel is in a beautiful quiet location, simple but comfortable room, excellent food and friendly staff. For the price and its 3- star rating, this is a great place .
Beautiful property with simple, but comfortable rooms.
We were looking forward to eating at their restaurant but unfortunately it was closed! There wasn’t any soap provided in our bathroom:(
The small river next to the hotel where you can relax and cool down a bit on a hot day, without being crowded by other visitors in the area. The diner was excellent. The chef really knows how to create an original menu each evening and it's just a lovely spot to eat outdoors. Even though there was a language barrier (we only know a few words of French) the staff was very patient and did their best to make us comfortable.
It wasn't clear to us that the manager assigns tables for the diner guests beforehand. If we knew that we would have asked every time for a table with view on the river area when indicating that we would attend diner. It's a bit challenging to bring heavy suitcases to the rooms upstairs (located above the reception), it would have been helpfull if guests can use the driveway that leads to the top of the stairs to load/unload their car there.
very secluded and leisurely. great staff, friendly and helpful.
hard to find the first time!
This is a very special place using a now centuries old silk factory to create a resort in a quiet leafy valley. Both the room (overlooking the terrace and the valley) and the bathroom were spacious. We had eaten too well at midday to try the trout dish on offer that evening but the guests who took it seemed content, the terrace offering a lovely setting for an outdoor meal. Similarly, we did not sample the pool. The breakfast, focussing on local products, was of great quality and variety. The path to our room was flanked by lavender. In the sunlight it was full of bees and butterflies.
It is not a complaint but the access road up to the hotel is only wide enough for one car. Just drive slowly and be prepared to stop and if necessary back to a passing space.
Old building, renovated with character, all rooms have airco, wifi, the terrace near the river, a swimming pool, beautiful garden, view on Largentiere. Very quiet and peaceful.
Cant find anything reasonable to mention other then on cold days a cozy lobby with a fire place could be nice. This is however a perfect stay for spring and summer!! We will be back!
Saying this hotel is worth a visit is an understatement, this place is perfect for relaxing in the nature. Most importantly the restaurant is not to be missed! We visited some Michelin places in the past, would argue this is comparable if not better
Beautiful location right on a river. They have done a fabulous job turning this old mill into a summer resort. Do not hesitate to book a stay here. It is wonderful.
What an enchanting hotel, in a perfect secluded location. Breakfast and dinner in the courtyard makes for that special vacation feeling. The short walk down for swimming in the river makes it extra special!
Great swimming pool
Beautiful location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Beautiful set up, a lovely cottage in the middle of nature.
great place , excellent dinner , at this time very familiar and very calm ( but not during july and august )
