About

Loisium Spa & Wine Hotel lies amid the vineyards of Langenlois, close to the UNESCO-protected Wachau region, and offers superb wellness facilities, free internet and free parking. The LOISIUM Wine & Spa Hotel Langenlois was designed by the famous US architect Steven Holl and is located only 6.2 mi from the town of Krems and a 50-minute drive from Vienna. Wine plays a vital role, which is reflected in the fine cuisine as well as in the spa treatments. The heated outdoor swimming pool is open all year. All rooms offer views of the vineyards through the big, floor-to-ceiling windows and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.

    Pros +

    • A beautiful hotel with a nice spa and pool. We went during cold weather but the spa and pool are setup to allow you to use them and enjoy them when it’s cold
    • Breakfast-Spa-Swimmingpool
    • Very clean rooms. Food was spectacular. Wine selection is nice. Our room was quite large. The pool and spa area is spacious. I got a massage and a facial. Both were amazing. The surrounding area is quite nice.

    Cons -

    • Dinner in Restaurant was so so badTemperaturen of Swimmingpool was a Little cold
    • I was given the wrong meal at dinner. It was still delicious but you would think there would be some discount or something. I decided to just eat it because it took so long for it to come out. I didn't want to wait another 20-30 minutes for them to cook the correct dish for me. The pool is heated but still quite cold (we were there in January). It could be a few degrees warmer.

We had stayed there before and knew we should expect the best in all aspects and and it was true again.Perfect breakfast buffet, AC in the room, a big pool and a pleasantly chilly biotop, enough deckchairs, lovely sofas in the 'yard', little refreshments to take while sitting outside, opportunity to recharge the car etc etc. And the winetasting in the architecturally amazing vinotheque.

The area and the atmosphere are really something special with breathtaking scenery and amazing local wines. The staff was very kind, and they even prepared us extra vegan cheeseplate and dessert for breakfast, and that was not part of the regular buffet - very thoughtful of them! Highly recommended to visit, lots of activities in the area.

Unfortunately, the pillows weren't to our liking. They were too soft for us, but I know this can vary from person to person. For us, it was just not comfortable enough. Also, the only thing that was missing was smart tv in the room with streaming possibility.

Amazing and relaxing place, great pool and outdoors area, fantastic bike rental and outstanding wines of course. A decent restaurant but not the best in the region.

There are long queues for the coffee machines at breakfast, and the nearby village church bells ring every day loudly at 6am so you won't get much sleep if you wake up easily.

Location in the vineyards.Sauna facilities and pool.

Some staff inattentive. Cleaners skipped our room.

    8NebbiolistenPosted on: 7-13-2024

It was situated very beautifully. Food and wine was excellent.Good possibilities to hike and bike.

The frontdesk was not keen on giving us service. We could wait until 4 o'clock before the room was cleaned. Our toilet was smelling pretty bad, but they did not fix it during our stay.

The environment is wonderful, you are essentially within a wineyard

Despite our previous telephone request and ultrapolite inquiries and pleas it was impossible to access our room until we came back from the event. That by itself was not a problem. The problem is thay each time we approached the front desk, we were not recognised and asked whether we would register (despite we had registered) and thus felt that our needs were basically ignored

We loved that the hotel is surrounded by a vineyard and the bathroom was great! Great shower and really spacious.

There was no real table in the room, and the wardrobe space was not very big.

great room, nice spa, high speed wifi

prices for food and drinks were a bit steep

    9AlvaroPosted on: 8-13-2023

Location, amazing setting, fantastic breakfasts, good rooms. Winery.

The showers are terrible. There should be a walk-in shower but there is not. It’s a bathtub that is high, difficult to get in and out and with a very complex shower head system.

Very comfortable and nice place, big and very clean room, swimming pool near wine yard and wine museum at the same place.. perfect breakfast included

We came during cloudy day :D nothing was bad!

Everything , the room was lovely & spacious and we had a balcony overlooking the pool , a huge bathroom .The breakfast that was included in our Tarif was the best with lots to choose from. We loved the 2 pools , one a natural one complete with frogs.loved a massage at the spa , & the staff were very helpful too.

Everything was excellent and we enjoyed the stay in this hotel a lot! Hotel itself is very nice, rooms as well, very clean and spacious with a great view to vineyards. We loved that fact that we could freely go to the spa area anytime we wanted to.Food and wine in hotel restaurant is great as well. Breakfast was fantastic! I really hope to be back!

I cannot think of anything negative

Helpful staff, nice surroundings, quiet location, well maintained rooms.

Restaurant occupied for both days of our stay. Make reservation ahead prior your arrival! No room cleaning for two night stay.

great location, free parking, spa, vicinity to wineries, amazing breakfast, Loisium world of wine was fantastic

no coffee machine in rooms, no seating in room, menu in restaurant could have been more varied, staff could have been a little more proactive - ie asked about vineyard hike and haven’t been told about options to prebook wine safe which would have enhanced experience greatly

    10EliezerPosted on: 8-27-2021

The breakfast, the Hotel is very unique , a modern building in a middle of a vineyard, looks great, Staff very friendly, 5 minutes walk you are in the village with many eating option. The free parking is an advantage.

I have selected the hotel due to the SPA facility and treatments, unfortunately there wad no available opportunities so i can not comment on SPA, (the hotel was full and looks like the availability of therapist is limitted).
