Pros +
- Great location and accessible to the slopes. The staff were fantastic and very helpful.
- Location, ski in ski out, bar and restaurant were good and friendly helpful staff
- Good location for ski in. Not an easy ski out.
Cons -
- Lack of proper shower in rooms - shower hose in bath but had to hold it in hand (no bracket on wall to hold the shower head)
- Room basic but ok.Spa facilities mediocre
- The hotel is quite tired and in need of renovation. First impressions weren’t great with the outside of the hotel looking a bit shabby with a broken pane of glass in the front door, and two men smoking cigarettes right outside the door. I think one of them might have been a staff member but i’m not certain as staff weren’t wearing a uniform. The reception area and bar are cosy and nice spaces, but the room was quite dated. My bed was collapsing in the middle, which I reported when I left and they noted down so will hopefully be repaired. Furniture throughout the hotel was old and tired. No tea or coffee making in the room. Constantly dark corridors because you have to push a switch to turn on the light. The ski room does not have lockers, people can just walk straight into the ski room during the day and take your stuff (I didn’t have any incidents though). The basement area in particular was dark, creepy and smelly (particularly the showers). I didn’t check out the pool in the basement but I imagine it was dingy too. I appreciate that this hotel is probably priced according to it being dated and more basic than alternatives. I don’t think any of these things are major issues. I’d probably stay here again if I was on a budget.

Staff were friendly and welcoming and happy to speak in English. The bar area is a cosy place to chill in the evening. The room was clean, except for the carpet which was stained according to its age. Breakfast was OK, about what I expected. Room had a relatively new TV with quite a lot of channels, although all French. Hot shower with a good level of water pressure. I had a pretty good burger in the bar. The location is good, close to the piste, though ‘ski in’ is a bit of a stretch because you’d need to ski up a steep hill. You can ski out straight to the Vallandry gondola 25m away. Luggage storage was available and was locked. Showers were available to allow skiing after checking out.

Close to lifts for skiing
The pool was closed for 48 hours, we were only there for 2 days
The location was perfect for us, ski in/ski out to 2 lifts, eateries and bar a short walk away. Warm, cosy and friendly little hotel with lovely, helpful staff. The room was very small which we knew beforehand but the bathroom was a good size with great shower and heated towel rail. The room was warm and comfortable and serviced daily. Good value for money.
The bed was very small and quite squishy but slept well. Biggest down side was having no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast in the onsite restaurant was very expensive, so we ended up walking to a local cafe every morning.
Breakfast is good but it is always the same, location is good, personal is nice, it was clean and worm in the apartment.
Spa is very small (steam room for 5 people and very small pool for kids mostly). One pair of our rental ski-boots disappeared from ski-room, luckily we had insurance for those.
Great location for skiing, staff were friendly and helpful
Food was really good, staff was amazing. Location was also well situated.
Rooms really tiny and balcony wasn't one we could walk out on.
Location and very friendly staff. Couldn’t b more helpful
Rooms were a little small
Had a nice bar games swimming pool heated boots hooks easy access to slopes ski back easy lovely breakfast
The best things were the direct access to the slopes from the ski room and the staff that was extremely friendly and helpful ! Several times they proactively proposed solutions. We had the half-board and breakfast and dinner were as expected. It was great to enjoy the stunning mountain views from the dining room. The bar was large and had a cosy atmosphere with a wide range of drinks and cocktails and a pool table (in good condition) and a big screen. The swimming pool was not too large but a good enough for relaxing and it had a nice mountain view. Parking on the street was not too difficult and there was an EV charger at the hotel. Vallandry village is a perfect start location to ski anywhere in the Paradiski ski area. We found that the queues to ski lifts were shorter here than in Plaigne or Arc villages.
In some places one can see some wear and tear - just do not expect this to be a new or recently renovated hotel. The noisy bar and its guests in the next door building was disturbing our sleep until 1am - 2am. (This might be less problematic for the rooms facing to the valley?)
It was in a brilliant location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was excellent value for money.
The room only had 1 plug point and it was a bit dated.
The hotel is llocated just off the piste and around 200 metres from the ski lift. Our bedroom was ample in size, loads of shelves to store clothing., good view, comfortable bed and the obligatory tv . Bathroom of good size with shower and bath. Room cleaned to a high standard daily. Breakfast was continental,, food was fresh and met our needs. Staff were wonderful and genuine. Felt the hotel represented good value. All in all, had a great stay and would return.
great location to ski in and out. comfortable with friendly staff.
staff is nice, there’s a separate room to leave luggages after check out, we also managed to book shuttle taxi to train station with hotel’s help. room and bed are clean and decent.
Shower water is unstable : could turn very hot or cold at any time. A lot of facilities listed on booking do exist but are of poor quality: ski room has no locker. Swimming pool is very small and not enjoyable. Sauna is merely warm, definitely not hot enough to be called a sauna.
great position on the slopes, clean, warm and welcoming.
breakfast could be better
Perfect location on the ski slopes. Walking distance from supermarket, restaurants and shops.
Breakfast was simple but reasonable.
Rooms extremely small “French style” and when we wanted to eat something small (lika a burger) in the bar, that was not allowed because they only served small snacks in the bar. Mind you, the hotel restaurant was on the other side of the hallway. A simple burger order should be possible in the bar. Location of the hotel is excellent, next to the ski piste.
Great location and fabulous spa
