The location was ok

We paid at booking.com to do the booking, and then at the property they asked as to pay again because they said they had not received a payment although we saw them the payment. They did not even offer to check with booking to resolve this. When you put a property at booking you set the rules. So the rule of this property was to pay for the booking to be valid. So how they did not have the payment? They set the rules. Also very poor breakfast, and not very hot room.

Dinner has to be paid directly and can’t be charged to the room. Restaurant closes much too early at 21h. Shower in the morning not warm enough.

There wasn’t much to like at L’Alpin. The public parking was free and the hotel lift could be accessed from street level. The reception/bar staff spoke English and were friendly. The attic room on floor 4 is spacious with a fine view.

The furniture in all public areas is worn, tatty and unsightly. The food for dinner in the restaurant was overcooked and generally poor. Breakfast had to be pre-ordered the night before and therefore we had no control over flavours, types of bread, fruit, spreads. There was no air-conditioning in the room which was unbearably hot. There appeared to be air-con on the reception/bar/restaurant level but it was not switched on, so all the doors were left open and we had to fight the flies off our food and drink.

Fully renovated. In-room facilities like TV, heating, complimentary tea-coffee, shower were good. Quality of food & its menu variety are good; same goes for the car park area.
