About

The 3-star Les Chants d’Ailes Hotel offers a unique and exceptional setting: the ocean in the foreground, the tranquility of a secluded location, and immediate proximity to downtown. You’ll enjoy a relaxing stay, far from the hustle and bustle of the harbor during peak season, while remaining just a few minutes away from shops, restaurants, and entertainment. As an independent, intimate hotel, we pride ourselves on our family-friendly and authentic atmosphere, a far cry from the standards of large chains. Our 19 rooms—including 10 with ocean views—whether small, standard, or large, offer optimal comfort and a warm atmosphere, with modern and tasteful decor, each one unique. They are spread across just three levels (ground floor, first, and second floors) with no elevator. Some rooms feature a balcony, a floor-to-ceiling window, a bow window, or a large panoramic skylight to fully enjoy the ocean view, while the rooms facing the courtyard guarantee a peaceful atmosphere. All rooms feature high-quality bedding, a private bathroom, and all the essentials for a pleasant stay. The hotel is not air-conditioned, but all rooms have a fan. We offer a variety of services: breakfast in the dining room or in your room, a meal tray for when you’re in a pinch, parking and a garage for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles (reservation recommended before arrival), and bike rentals.

    Pros +

    • Please understand that I am trying to be fair here, but while this hotel was clean and tidy, we've stayed in more inviting places in France. Booking in felt as if we were being lectured. Three breakfast choices were offered, and we selected the middle one, drink and a croissant for €6, but the Proprietor was careful to stress the "one drink" aspect, Next morning, our croissants were stale, clearly left over from the previous day, and I was watched closely while I poured my single coffee, The same on the next two days, with "one drink" stressed each time, but fortunately, the croissants were better. Our room design made very poor use of the available space, which resulted in the two of us constantly having to reverse and squeeze past each other, an unnecessary inconvenience, though not too much of a problem after 30 years together. The best aspect of our stay were the excellent seafood restaurants in La Turballe, but our hotel was a minor disappointment, though admittedly for relatively trivial reasons.
    • Comfy, breakfast lack of local products except bread. Beachfront.
    • Varied breakfast, with warm bread and croissants. Very hospitable hosts, clean, chic location, very close to the beach. An excellent overall impression.

    Cons -

    • The Proprietor's general manner, I'm sure he didn't mean it that way, but it was if we were being addressed as schoolchildren.
    • The room was very small for a family of 3. There are no lifts so it’s a daily climb up the stairs but it kept us fit! We paid for breakfast on one morning and felt that it could offer more.
    • There's nothing we didn't like.

Perfect location for visiting La Turballe and walking across the road to the beach! Parking facilities at the back of the hotel was really convenient. The hotel is nicely decorated and offers all that you need.

Nice family hotel by thr beach. We enjoyed view of the beach from our room and closeness to the sea. There are a lot of parking spaces in and around the hotel. The breakfast was perfect!

The room was wonderfully designed, very recently. And very clean. The option of taking a meal in the room was great, especially after a very long hiking day. There were appetizer and main dish choices that were both veggie and gluten free. To be simply heated up in a microwave. The room also had a water cooker to make your own tea or infusion. Breakfast was nice. And the hotell seemed fully booked, even though it was a regular weekday outside of the holiday season, which speaks to it's value.
