Cons -
- The restaurant was closed but there was a truck stop nearby where we could eat dinner
- Our reservations for dinner had to be changed to the bar because they said a certain staff member was not available. We were disappointed. The shower pan in our bathroom needs to be replaced or really cleaned.
- Quite a small window in my room, so it was very dark.

A favourite hotel stopover for me, welcoming staff, beautiful rooms and comfortable beds
This is a lovely hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. There is safe enclosed parking. You can relax with a drink outside or take a walk along the old railway, in Spring there are lots of flowers and herbs growing there. I tried partridge in the restaurant and it was delicious.
this is third time we stayed there, friendly staff , spacious rooms and good food. Electric chargers just outside
difficult to say
The hotel was easy to find and was conveniently placed not far from the motorway, as we were using it as a stop over for the night, travelling through France to Spain. We were tired and were pleased to find that we could have a drink at the bar and order a meal that evening. The staff were very helpful and guided us through their menu. The fish and vegetables we were served were very tasty and so fresh and I would recommend. We slept well with no noise or disturbance, as the hotel is in the countryside. Buffet continental breakfast was good with scrambled eggs and tomato too. Would recommend
Everything was very good
Great location close to motorway, very nice accommodation and friendly staff
I thought the food was a little expensive, and I was disappointed with my main course of pork loins that didn’t come with any side dishes and had just one small piece of broccoli on the three pork rolls
This was an overnight stop on our way fromPamplona to the south of Spain. It’s a lovely looking place a type of skiing lodge feel. The only reason I haven’t given it excellent is because our room right at the top of the building was draughty and had a smell of a drain in it. It was very clean, but this smell was weird. The staff were very pleasant in the bar and the restaurant and the evening meal was very lovely.
Very good breakfast. Plenty of parking.Beautiful hotel an idea stop over when travelling through Spain and France.
Nothing to dislike.
Convenient and close to the motorway. Lovely underfloor heating. Breakfast was good.
Menu was limited and expensive.Headroom in the bedroom was limited. The bathroom sink needed repairing. The bar area lacked comfort and facilities
Everything except what's below
The bedroom was hot with heat appearing to come from the floor and the ceiling impeding sleep and we could not adjust the temperature
Staff were kind enough to help switch our booking on the day we arrived, which wasn't the day we booked.
Having secure storage for our e-bikes. Being very close to our onward route to Calpe. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Also the breakfast was very good.
Firstly the location was perfect for us. We were travelling to Denia & following the horrendous floods in Valencia many roads were closed. We stayed at La Fonda De La Estacion for the night & it was the perfect refuge. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and supportive and the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. We particularly enjoyed the food in the restaurant which was excellent, with a creative, well priced menu. The icing on the cake was the super fast EV charger in the large covered car park. We felt the Gods were smiling on us that evening.
Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were welcomed and shown to our room pleasantly. I had requested to book a table for dinner by email in advance, asking the times for dinner and asking if 7.30 would be possible ( we know that most Spanish hotels do not start serving until around 8.30). The reply was that service was from 8 until 9.30 pm. On arrival I requested to eat at 8pm, and we went down accordingly. We were the second or third customers, but we didn't get to eat until 8.45, with main course arriving at 9.15. There was only one waitress to serve what became a full dining room. She was remarkably friendly, helpful and very busy. I learned the next day, when voicing my dissatisfaction to the lady on reception, that a second waitress was ill, and that there were several British people who all came down to eat at the same time. I sympathise, but none the less my meal was not enjoyable because it was late. It was also rather expensive for what it was. We were also charged for bread, which was doled out to all and did not seem optional. We have stayed twice before in this hotel and I have rated it highly, but not on this occasion.
Please read my review above. Dinner spoiled by slow service ( not the fault if the hard working waitress) and the seeming increase in cost as against previous visits.
We didn’t stay
On arrival the hotel was closed. About to leave and a young lady opened the door. We were informed that the hotel was closed but we could have the room we had booked. However the breakfast would nit be available as per their details on Booking.com but she would try to get us a croissant and drink in the morning. The restaurant was closed but she suggested we go back in the highway and look for a service station to get something to eat. We refused and asked to cancel the reservation but she phoned her boss who said “no”. We were informed we would be charged so are disputing this with the hotel through Booking.com
The staff are so lovely. It is great that it is so close to the motorway as a midway point or stopping point. The bed was really comfortable. The sloped ceilings are low so be aware. I hit my head twice. I would stay here again.
The hotel looked very attractive and the parking was great. We were in a room in the courtyard and it was superb.
we were served breakfast in the bar whilst other guests had their breakfast in the dining room where tables were set up for them.
location, breakfast, morning staff
room a little cold no control over Aircon
