- Loved everything. From arrival and warm welcome to check out, smooth process. Beautiful house
- Beautiful facility. A work of art. Attentive and friendly staff. Superb location. Was the best and we’ll be back.
- Very nice room, we got upgraded from what we originally booked. Our room had a nice terrace. You can have a coffee pr tea 24/7 free of charge by reception and the brrakfast is very nice, costing €18 per person. It involves a basked of bread, pain au chocolat, croissant and soft boiled egg. There's a buffet where you can have cereal, yoghurt and brioche. All very nice. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Great location next to the church aswell, short cycle to the nearest beach.
Cons -
- More variety for breakfast choices.
- Nothing bad to say
- Room 11 was a little basic, overlooking road, minimal hanging space - recommend that others upgrade to a better room

Amazing location Stylish decorComfortable beds Beautiful bathrooms
Breakfast was good, if a little pricey
The decor was beautiful, the natural surroundings of the building and its gardens.
No aircon
We stayed in the Villa which was a five minute walk from the hotel. It was beautifully designed with a modern twist. The pool was fabulous and the garden carefully designed around the old features and well looked after.
There was nothing not to like other than when we booked it did not clearly state the location of the villa. It did not matter for us but If you wanted to enjoy breakfast at the hotel or its facilities then the villa might not work. It’s ideal for for large families or groups.
We loved the interior design and all the different areas to sit and enjoy the tranquility. Breakfasts were delicious. The staff were all kind, friendly and attentive.
The other guests who complained!
Great location. Cosy hotel with good ambiance. Breakfast is nice.
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous in all sense of the word. Staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful. Location is amazing in the stunning village of Ars- en -Re. The hotel is very stylish with beautiful outside areas to enjoy breakfast amongst amazingly beautiful flowers. We will definitely return.
Utterly charming boutique hotel bursting with understated chic. Simple but delicious breakfast and fabulous location in the heart of Ars en Re.
Lovely interior terrasse. Nice old building.
A bit expensive.
Great location, quirky hotel. Breakfast was fairly basic for what we paid, we only had it once. We enjoyed sitting by the little pool on a sunny afternoon. We had a 2 bed suite in the road behind the hotel, with a sweet courtyard seating area.
Staff communication was poor. We asked 3 times for restaurant bookings but the staff either didn't contact us or contacted us too late to say the restaurant was full. The worst thing was that we were told in person and via email that we had a taxi booked to take us to the airport, but the taxi never arrived and the hotel was closed - stressful!
This is a kooky hotel! Beautiful courtyards with lots of sitting areas amongst the flowering plants. The rooms are all different, comfortable and very attractive. The staff are very helpful. It was lovely coming in summer, now I’d like to return in a cooler month to use the fireplace in the room! Plenty of wardrobe / shelving space. Nice little pool and decking area.
Our bathroom only had a hand-held shower attachment in the bath: a stand-up shower above the bath would have been more useful. Our second, more basic room didn’t have an air conditioning unit (not a problem for us as it was not a very hot week!) or a coffee machine.
The hotel had a boutique style feel. The hairdryer was outstanding and the toiletries really handy.
That it was over €200 a night and whilst we didn’t require it (as the weather wasn’t great) had jt have been over 25 degrees I would have liked air conditioning. The room configuration was also slightly odd with a wardrobe only for super tall people located behind the bed.
Beautiful old hotel in Ars-en-re. Tranquil. Good breakfast. Well located to explore Ile de Re.Staff very friendly and helpful.
Bathroom a little basic in the standard room we were in (although others looked a lot better fitted out) - we had just a shower head over the bath.
Charming period property with all modern amenities, stylish interior with some fabulous quirky touches. Staff were very helpful making dinner reservations and organising cycle hire.
It is more charming than photos can capture! It’s centrally located, really clean and the staff is so nice and welcoming. Would absolutely stay here again.
Our bathroom didn’t have a shower head - just a tub with a wand.
Loved all the little extras that made it feel like a quaint bed and breakfast. Many sweet/beautiful places to sit amd relax, tea/coffee in the evening. Breakfast was delicious!
The room got warm at night. We were on the first floor and didn't feel comfortable sleeping with the window open, so it got stuffy. Similarly, we closed the windows when we were away from the room for security purposes and the room would be stuffy when we got back.
Greta hotelIn a lovely location , with a beautiful garden and a smallPool to coolOf in .
