Mountain Lodge in Alps-chez Philippe, Panoramic-Village, Renting, view over Glaciers

The hotel has a good location, the apartment is spacious enough for a family, and the garden is nice

the property is very poorly maintained: the apartments are extremely old, the shower is unpleasant to use, and there are no windows nets, so you can’t open the windows without the whole place filling up with spiders. The deck outside the apartments is old and worn, making it impossible to walk barefoot; the children kept getting splinters every time they went out to play. The chairs in the garden were broken, and it looks like the place hasn’t been renovated since the 1990s. I am very disappointed because the rating on Booking is very high, which makes it unreliable.

Village beautiful and very welcoming. The kids loved, the pool, the mountain location is stunning. Wonderful views. Friendly local shops. Room layout was good and beds comfy. All clean on arrival. WiFi good.

Staff not welcoming. Extra charges not clear on booking.com. feeling that as guests we were an imposition. Will 100% visit La Grave again but look for alternative accommodation. Unclear expectations about room. Kitchen difficult to use high oven with door that made it hard to get stuff out. Little space to cook on.

Excellent location, a cosy and well equipped apartment at a quiet place. A perfect base for exploring the fanatastic mountains in the Écrins National Park.

Stayed here before for a weekend 6 years ago and decided to come back for a longer visit. The facilities in the chalet are good providing everything you need to self cater if you want and only a short walk from the restaurants in town. Pool area is lovely and you can’t complain about the wonderful views!

Beautiful environment, very kind and helpful host, apartment has a warm, cosy style, and is really comfortable. The terrace is great and it has, just like the swimming pool an extraordinary view to the glacier.

A lovely hotel consisting of 17 chalets in the beautiful village of La Grave. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable and overlooked the spectacular La Meige glacier. Our hosts were very welcoming, and the inclusive breakfasts were excellent and ample. We could not have had a more pleasurable experience and hope to return - most highly recommended!

This place seems not cleaning the room every day.It’s ok but should tell the guest so we don’t expect it.Rooms was clean so wasn’t problem though.

I was there with my father to have a 4 day motorbike trip. We had a fantastic stay. The apartment was perfect, the view over the gletcher was super nice and breakfast was very good. Ideal location as a central point to go for several days on different motor bike trips. Also good restaurants in the small village of La Grave.

Our stay was very good. I have traveled a lot, the location, the food, the hygiene, the area, it was all good.
